Going with the Twins upset, huh Roy?

I don't know if the Twins will go on one of those "Rockies '07" type runs or flame-out.

My inclination is to go with the flameout.  Certainly wouldn't mind the opposite, though.

You're probably right, but I'm picking with my heart.

I like the Phillies & Cardinals to move forward in the NL.

Toughest series for me to call is the one involving my beloved Red Sox.  Obviously, I'm rooting for them the whole way but I think the Angels series is going to be a real battle for them. Sox have had plenty of inconsistency this season and that has me concerned for the playoffs.  On paper, Lester/Beckett/Buchholz looks as good as it gets but we really haven't seen them clicking on all cylinders this year.

Yankees should take the other ALDS.

Who's getting the nod as the 3rd starter? Matsuzaka has been pretty good since he came back. Buchholz had a completely awesome September, but his last two starts have been quite bad.

Lol @ Cliff Lee with a hit and a stolen base. Quite awesome as far as I'm concerned.

Edit: Miss call.

Did anyone else just check out that disclaimer that scrolled on the bottom of the screen in the Phils-Rockies telecast?

"Due to seasonal solar activity, you could experience a brief interruption in today's broadcast."

Are you kidding me?   ::)

Totally agree ... this is one of the strongest lineups we've had in quite a while ... I love our chances in this series, (just hope Terry doesn't go crazy with the pitching changes). (TP)

Whats pretty amazing is Drew in the 8th hole.

Quote
J.D. Drew is second among qualifying American League outfielders in OPS this season, behind only teammate Jason Bay. (Adam Lind, who would be first, doesn't count since he's primarily been a DH.) Further, Drew is 11th overall, trailing these 10 boppers: Joe Mauer, Youk, You're On The Mark Teixeira!, Miguel Cabrera, Lind, A-Rod, Ben Zobrist, Bay, Michael Young, and Kendry Morales.
