I'm hoping that the injury sustained by Marquis Daniels earlier in this afternoon's game isn't serious. Always terrible to see any member of our team get hurt while competing.

Other than Marquis' injury the rest of todays game went well for the Boston Celtics.

Get well soon, Marquis  :(

Ainge and McKeon were on during the postgame and said Daniels has a spinal cord bruise. He couldn't move for a short period of time on the court, but has regained full use of his limbs by now.

Good news, he'll be fine. Bad news, he's out indefinitely (at least a month).

I also enjoyed Jeff Van Gundy knocking the hard fouls on Dwight Howard.  This coming from the man who pushed the thug basketball the Knicks played in the '90s (and almost ruined basketball with) and was once on the floor during a fight clinging to a player's (Alonzo Mourning if I remember correctly) leg.

Watching the game for the first time, (ESPN2 replay) ... really ugly start, (two points in the first five minutes!), but I loved that clean-up floater by Rondo ... sweet!

Great defense by Ray ... he doesn't get enough credit for his defensive skills, IMHO.

Jeez ... the hit Marquis took was scary ... you can tell he lost extremity function instantly ... he couldn't keep his head up from hitting the floor, or brace himself with his arms ... instant paralysis. Thank God it wasn't a more serious injury ... that type of head and neck impact/compression could have easily been severe and permanent. Nice to see the "thumb's-up" from him on the way out.

Things are flowing much more smoothly here at the end of the second quarter ... getting a bit "chippy" in this one.

Rondo nails a tres ... being very aggressive and keeping Orlando on their heels ... I love to see him in this mind-set!

Very nice win, and I love to see the aggressive play by Rondo ... in the shadow of the injury to 'Quis, though, which was the scariest basketball injury I've seen in a while. They say it's just a spinal contusion/compression, but there can be complications that come later. Praying for you, Marquis.
