Say Kyrie and Butler  are open and more than willing to stay in Brooklyn and Boston strikes first.....

We send Kyrie to Brookly for Russel and Allen instead of letting Kyrie walk for nothing....

Then Minnesota loses all leverage and has to filed offers from other teams knowing Butler might leave in FA....So they turn to Brookly in an attempt to get something besides expiring picks....

Butler for K Faired, D Carrol and a Pick for himmm...

I think as long as Kyrie and Butler stay long term, everyone wins.   There has to be some filler, but I like Allen and Russel/Terry/Smart can run the PG duties....

Question ~  Who wins this trade?  Who loses?

We lose. We lose in that trade.

Minny loses. Minny loses in that trade.

Brooklyn is thrilled to trade expiring contracts and a couple of late first rounders for two superstars though.

Why would Kyrie want to leave Boston to go to Brooklyn of all places?

While I don't like it, it's a technical win for the Celtics since all evidence is pointing towards Kyrie walking at the end of his contract.

I'd prefer we get someone other than Russel in return as I don't really believe in him as a player, but it's important to turn Kyrie into something.

I was reading the post on the front page and two long shots reasons.

He is from NJ area and wants to play close to home/high School
He is friends with Jimmy
Brooklyn has cap space to offer them both a max deal!

Long shot...  I sure would hate to see him walk for nothing is all I'm thinking.

There is absolutely no evidence that Kyrie is looking to walk at the end of the season, just baseless speculation because Kyrie is a friend of Butler.

I would rather risk losing him for nothing after a year than lose him for next-to-nothing now
I'm bitter.

Indeed. The so-called ‘evidence’ is really nothing. It’s been a long offseason

Why in the hell would a C's fan propose a Kyrie trade until such time that Kyrie says he wants out?  I mean you get a generational type talent and trade him?  OMG man are you a Knicks fan?  The go to the Knicks Forum.

Not cool to question a poster's allegiance. Please do not do it again.

This. I think if Kyrie was going to be traded it would've happened already. Ainge and the team appear to be operating under the assumption Irving intends to stay.

To be clear I want him to stay.....   The new post on the front of the blog is the first time I felt a little more comfortable he might stay.....

I think if we win, we not only increase the chances of keeping him, but also Terry.    A solid 8/9 man rotation is key.   I think these guys below are the ultimate team.....

Ball Handlers
Kyrie
Smart
Terry
Swings
Brown
Tatum
Hayward
Morris
Semi
Bigs
AL
Thesis
Baynes
Williams
