I predicted Raptors would win once they loaded up after getting Kawhi .

I thought originally he d leave .   If he is comfortable, he can go to CA and spend the off season and resign a ONE YEAR. extension .

I think he gives the city another 1-2 years .  He seemed happy enough and dorsn't have to stay year around .

I choose leave, because I think KL kind of goes against the grain sometimes, and because it helps us!

Yeah, I think Kawhi is off to the Clippers to go after a ring with Doc

This man is so hard to read. Frankly it should be a no brainer that he stays but KL is not just about winning.. Heck he has 2 rings and 2 FMVP.. Nothing to prove anymore on that front. His motivation now going forward is security and comforts of home.

He already is a legend in Toronto, he helped them bring the crown and he can leave and Toronto will still forever be grateful.

If I were Kawhi, that is were I'd leave it.. He becomes the one and only star in NBA history to play for a franchise for just 1 Yr and give them a championship... No other NBA great can say that.
Hence on that recognition he should leave.
And I think that's what he will do. Injuries have been so predictable he cannot risk signing short term max contract just to defend the crown.

If I'm the Raptor organization I'd offer Kawhi the max contract for the maximum amount of yrs, just stipulate trade demands are open and can be traded to a team of his choosing if he wants.

70 to 30 leaving/staying imo

Another clue

A since-deleted tweet from SB Nation’s Kristian Winfield:

Kawhi Leonard says bringing Toronto their first championship is the most satisfying part of the experience:

“This is something they can build on.”

They.”

My problem in general is, I tend to believe what people say. Kyrie said that he wanted to see his number retired in the rafters. Like an idiot, I believed him.

Little by little I've come to realize that Kyrie Irving is a liar. In my opinion, he will leave the Celtics because he was exposed to the fans in the playoffs as all talk.

He will not thrive in Brooklyn because Russell doesn't have the facilitating ability necessary, nor the gravitas for Kyrie to give the ball up enough for the team to consistently win.

Kawhi is leaving, them winning makes it easier for him as it will not label him a villain in Toronto.

He brought them a championship, their first.

been thinking all season that he'd stay -- far less drama in Toronto than the other FA's-to-be in the states.

now I'm starting to think he's more likely to move on after winning a title there.  would prefer he stay but I'm thinking it's less likely now.

I agree with out a Lebron or Durrant to carry the load ,   i predict Kyrie will fail in either NY team.    He and Russell ,  can't be another Curry n Klay .   They aren't team first players   they are gun slingers and ball hogs mostly with little defense .

Kyrie will always be a title teams 2-3 option .    He is too small to be Lebron , Kawhi or MJ or even Kobe to carry the load night in and out

I think he is gone.  With a clean conscience too.

Mission accomplished.

Now it's the Clippers' turn to win a championship.

I think he goes, even after winning the title.
