Actually no he did not. Kawhi just managed to fake everyone out. The popular sentiment before he started flirting with the Lakers was that he was going to sign with the Clippers. No one gave the Lakers a chance until about 2 weeks ago when he decided to give them a meeting. All of a sudden the Clippers were relegated to the background. WOW.... it now seems as if there was a deliberate plan to weaken the Lakers.

I can't emphasize enough how disastrous this is for the Lakers with zero depth, a bunch of cap space and basically no one left to spend it on, and not even a good FA market next offseason to keep their powder dry for. Glorious news. I was about 2 seconds from going to bed too.

I am over the moon with this. Sad that SGA will take a back-seat next to Westbrook, but if OKC can somehow offload Russ for something they have a treasure trove of picks already, let alone what trading Westbrook would get them
