Celtics: 2023 13th pick

Raptors: Brogdon, Prichard, 2023 Celtics 35th pick (via Blazers), 2024 Spurs second round pick (via Celtics)

———

Brogdon
Trent Jr
Anunoby
Barnes
Poeltl

Siakam, Prichard, Porter Jr, Boucher

———

Quote
Jakob Poeltl prefers not to be in a rebuilding situation next season, per Draft Express

Considering this, and the fact that Fred VanVleet (reportedly) wants 30 + million per season, Brogdon would be a perfect solution for the Raptors.

For the Celtics, they can either use the pick, or flip it for a veteran.

Career lowlight: traded for a washing machine

What about the salary cap?

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

You would want to be very sure that the guy you want at #13 is there before making that trade. If there is such a player, then fine. Good deal.

Like the Spurs trading George Hill for Kawhi Leonard (#15 pick). They don't trade G Hill if Kawhi wasn't available, but he was so they did. If there is such a player for Boston at #13, and there may indeed be one, then yes I am happy to trade Brogdon for a high quality prospect.

I don't know quite how many players there are in this draft that I would trade Brogdon for but I imagine it is somewhere around 8-9 players. So if one of those is available at #13, that would convince me.

Huge amount to give up. If someone we love fell, then maybe. Bit unsure as to Toronto absorbing Brogdon like that

What about the salary cap?

What, you think Toronto just can’t take on $25 million in salary without sending anything out?

The cap has spiked & VanVleet’s 22.8 million contract is off the books.

Didn’t know what their cap situation was, that’s why I asked..

Even without VV, Toronto has 120 million + in salary and that doesn't count the Poeltl or VV cap holds (they might waive the VV one, they aren't for Poeltl).  They can't take on that kind of salary.

Throw in Anunoby and keep out PP and I think it’s a good deal. The numbers actually work this way too
