Disappointment is based on expectation.  IMO, Atlanta over-achieved last playoffs.  I did not have an expectation that LAL would come together quickly with their geriatric roster.

So, I voted for the current NBA champions.

I'm 85% with you...

... because of the asterisk on the Bucks championship.

Sorry but the last 2 seasons were weird as heck. Both those chips have a'risks.

2020 season was an asterisk. 2021 is legit.

Lakers still only have 11 championships. Well, asterisks to 2002 and 2010 as well so 9 banners.

In my opinion, I don't think it's that legit. Not with those injuries.

Injuries are part of the game. Otherwise, there are more asterisks than we can count.

So you don't think last year was a bit of a freak, in how many all star players were hurt?

It's fine if you don't think so, but we just disagree on that then.

If some random 8th seed had won maybe you can asterisk it. But the bucks were a third seed, have been one of the most statistically dominant teams the last few years, and had a two time MVP. They are a championship caliber team that happened to get  a little lucky, but a lot of champions do.

It was freakish in that regard, but everyone had to deal with that. I don't think it discredits Milwaukee's championship any more than Toronto's, for a recent example
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Celtics making a run here after last night assured every C’s fan that, like last year, a 19 point lead late in the third quarter is meaningless.

I disagree. Jabari does not belong in the nba. I can’t stand the guy.

you're kidding right?  Jabari does ok in very limited minutes but his D is bad and he's pretty much a black hole on offense.  Kanter can't seem to rebound or score around the bucket like he used to last time with the team and his D has gotten worse.  Juanco didn't look particularly good in the last game --> like 'why is he in the NBA' bad.

Payton has not looked good this year.  shot is off and he's getting constantly exposed on D.  Nesmith is having real issues on D and his shot has been hit or miss so far this year.  Grant has been mostly productive on the court this year.  back to how he looked his rookie year but with a better shot to start the year.  Romeo has produced when he's been on the court this year.  all those screaming he's a bust have crawled back under their rocks this season.  He's at least as dependable as Richardson and on many nights, more reliable since he doesn't go as cold as Richardson does on many nights.

No doubt with the talent this team has, they are a disappointment!  Tatum looks as though he regressed, Brown comes up with an injury no one heard about until the season began, Smart, well he's just Smart and he just sucks!  Those are supposed to be the leaders of the team!

Isn't the answers ALWAYS the Celtics? Hmm...

Agreed! Unless the Boston Celtics win the NBA Championship, ultimately, results wise for a 17x championship franchise, the season is a disappointment.  I expected the Celtics to at least return to the 50+ win team they were before last seasons disappointment with all the new acquisitions BS made.

To not vote for the Celtics is almost like letting this team off the hook for underachieving so far.
