If Charlotte goes this way, they end up with a bit of a traffic jam at power forward. PJ Washington or Miles Bridges would both be really nice fits for us. I'd rather have either of them than Lauri Markkanen.

The Celtics have had conversations with free agent Dennis Schroder, per @JakeLFischer
LOL Conversations.

“Hi, Dennis.  How would you like to join the Celtics for one year at the minimum?”

“Lol.”  Click.
He needs to fire his agent. Can’t believe he turned down 84 mil.

Nerlons Noel reprise.

Man, Markkanen would be amazing at center on that team. Imagine his scoring and shooting threat at center in a run and gun team next to LaMelo, Hayward and Rozier.

G: Rozier, Ish Smith
G: LaMelo
F: Hayward
F: PJ Washington, Miles Bridges
C: Markkanen, Mason Plumlee

Exactly how I'd use him on that team, go all out on small ball even though he's a 7 footer.

Neck injury, but if he can play again even limited minutes, he's some insurance. I don't trust Horford and Williams will alternate missed time due to injuries, at some point they will be hurt at the same time.

At this point if he an't dead hes' playing. LOL

Great offensive team, woeful on defence

I don't think signing an injured guy, who gets injured quite a bit, is good insurance for injury.

Can't help but think Stevens has used Tatum as a conduit to Beal having Tatum tell Beal that he would be welcomed with open arms here in Boston and will be able to play with the Jays. Players talk with friends all the time and players talk to their GMs a whole lot. It's not unheard of that the "flexibility" already has a predestined outcome because of negotiations done through players.

Agree, it certainly appears that Stevens is acting like someone who knows something that we don't. Let's hope that's true.

The depressing alternative would be that they're pushing all their chips to the middle of the table for next year on a hope and a prayer.

I didn't day it was good insurance. When your scrapping for every dime you take what you get and cross your fingers two of them are healthy every game.

Andre Iguodala has narrowed his choices to GSW, the Lakers or the Nets.

I hate seeing one of my favorite players going to any of those teams.  I'm predicting he heads to LA, though.

He fits that LA age group. Turns 38 in 5 months

Baynes was a large negative contributor for the Raptors last year. Not sure he has much left in the tank. He might be done.

Even without the injury risk, I am not sure any team should be counting on him as a rotation player anymore. A 3rd stringer who can give you some physical post D against power centers. Not good for much else.

As much as I love Baynes, I agree. He's not a very good rebounder, is injury-prone, nearly 35 and would be our 4th best big.
