Ideas suggested by some guy named Darren Hartwell, who clearly doesn't understand the value of first rounders.

1. New York Knicks

Celtics receive: Nothing

Knicks receive: Kemba Walker, Celtics' 2022 first-round pick (lottery protected); Celtics' 2025 first-round pick (top-5 protected)

2. Dallas Mavericks

Celtics receive: Kristaps Porzingis

Mavericks receive: Kemba Walker, Celtics' 2022 first-round pick (lottery protected)

3. Oklahoma City Thunder

Celtics receive: Al Horford

Mavericks receive: Kemba Walker, Celtics' 2022 first-round pick (lottery protected)

4. Chicago Bulls

I've looked at some other sites/videos and have seen much better options than these (seriously, why is he just tossing around 1st rounders like they are nothing?). This guy below (different guy) on YouTube generally has pretty decent insightful videos on the NBA as a whole. Certainly not a professional (or even somebody people know), but I like the subject/length of his videos

New York: I assume by "nothing" he means a massive TPE. Given we just added a good player in Fournier with a similar TPE I don't know why you'd say it's nothing. If we are getting "nothing" why are we trading them two first round picks??

Dallas: We trade the guy who is less injury-prone, has a less volatile personality and who is contracted for less, PLUS a 1st?

OKC: Can anyone imagine the optics of trading our most recent marquee free agent signing + a first round pick for a guy who spurned us for Philly after playing here? He's also 35 and still owed a guaranteed $41.5 million.

Chicago: Again, no need for multiple firsts to be exchanged at all, especially if we take back Aminu.

Clippers: Giving up firsts here might be the most egregious of them all. Beverley is injury-prone and overpaid, Kennard is on a long contract (although I think he could be a good player in the right system) and Mann is ... okay? He's not as young as I thought he was (25 in October).

Celtics would be better off with a buyout than any of those nonsense trades. Kemba is not signed up 7 years, he has 2 years left. If the right team strikes out in free agency, they'll be sending Boston an asset for his services.

All three contracts expire after one year.

Satoransky and Thad Young would help this team a great deal. Both are quality passers. Young can't shoot 3's, but he's clever and quick. We get a legit power forward. We get a guard who could pair effectively with Smart as a starter. Or we could decide not to keep Smart or Fournier, and be OK.

I'd do this, although I would expect not to need 2 firsts.

Satoransky and Thad Young would help this team a great deal. Both are quality passers. Young can't shoot 3's, but he's clever and quick. We get a legit power forward. We get a guard who could pair effectively with Smart as a starter. Or we could decide not to keep Smart or Fournier, and be OK.

I'd do this, although I would expect not to need 2 firsts.

Yeah, their CHI deal is way off. We aren't really getting anything of value and are for some reason sending out two 1sts in the process. They desperately need a 3rd star to pair with Lavine and Vucevic and they can get Kemba for essentially free from us. I think they would be a great trade partner, but I would like to find a way to get Coby White back in a deal. Maybe leave Satoransky off, add White in, and only send one pick. He is out 4 months with shoulder surgery, but he should be good to go for the season(or pretty close to it)

I think this is an underrated part of the Kemba situation. It's hard to tell right now who will want to pull the trigger, but at least one team will not have accomplished what they wanted to in FA or trade. I think a number of teams know they at least have Kemba to fall back on should all else fail. He may not be target #1, but he should still be considered for teams that are looking to improve next season. And that shouldn't include us giving up multiple picks (or any picks) just to shed him from our team.

I’d be very happy to turn Kemba into Coby White and a couple of role players. I wouldn’t give them two firsts, tho.
