Seems relevant to the conversation.
Pretty obvious the direction the Cs need to go in.

Brad could announce the new coach at any moment

But sounds like he is waiting to interview assistant coaches from Bucks and Clippers 1st.  Especially Billups

Ideally need to have a coach in place to prepare for the draft

The coaching openings are growing by the minute.  Pelicans and Wizards now, probably Atlanta after the playoffs.  Hope Brad and Wyc are on this!  hate to lose our #1 because they weren't ready.

If Nate MacMillen becomes available... should be seriously considered

Why would McMillan become available?  Hawks getting to the 2nd round and being competitive is a good result for them.

Hey Boscel33 is the one speculating.... not me

Just saying if he were to be available.  I wouldn't hesitate to hire him

I'm sure they are. There are still teams in the playoffs which means they haven't been able to interview some assistant coaches they may be interested in (Cassell, D'Antoni, Billups).
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

with the semi turmoil that occured last season between management and players

Brad is probably going to want a coach who is going to be able to "walk the line" ... but ultimately side with management

If the coach "snitches" on the player.   Maybe the coach loses the dressing room

A vet coach like Doc Rivers or Tyronne Lue would be ideal for the Celts coaching gig.   They been through it all. Dealt with all kinds of diva personalities

Celtics current roster makeup is getting closer to this stage...

I want someone who will be good at coaching aka the "not Marc Jackson or Jason Kidd" option. Everything else is secondary. You can check all the other boxes, but if you aren't a good coach, it won't work.
2023 No Top 75 Fantasy Draft Los Angeles Clippers
PG: Dennis Johnson / Jo Jo White / Stephon Marbury
SG: Sidney Moncrief / World B. Free
SF: Chris Mullin / Ron Artest
PF: Detlef Schrempf / Tom Chambers / Buck Williams
C: Ben Wallace / Andrew Bynum

Yes, he would be a very good option if available.

Yes.

I wouldn't go after Nate McMillan. His offenses have been limited and overly reliant on having a main PnR ball-handling player (Brandon Roy, Oladipo, Brogdon, Trae Young) which is not an offense geared to Boston's strengths.

So take a coach who already has a limited offense and then give him a squad that goes against his strengths as an offensive coach and you get what? Nothing good I say.

I welcome McMillan system and a change from Brad system
