You can’t win in the postseason if your number one option on offense is a 6’1” guard... Clippers just have too much size and depth. I like Mitchell, but he has to be your #2.

Also, got to give credit to Paul George.... 37pts and 16 Reb in 40 Mins. [dang]...

One example from 30+ years ago? NBA is a little different now...
Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili in '07 and '14 say hello.

Airball looked fabulous
why you hate?
Why are you lot hating on Gobert while slobbering all over a player who has never had an above league average campaign in terms of scoring efficiency besides two of the weirdest playoff runs ever? It's insane to see a defensive titan not getting the credit he deserves when the likes of Nate Thurmond, Wes Unseld, Elvin Hayes, Mark Eaton, old Patrick Ewing, Dikembe Mutombo, Ben Wallace were all recognised as the 1Bs of the strong playoff teams they were on at the very least (Thurmond, Hayes, Ewing and Wallace even got 1A recognition) - a person reading what most people on this forum/social media think of Gobert would believe that Gobert is the #2 or even a #3 on the Jazz.
I love Gobert...will not take a thing from him. Won’t take a thing from Mitchell either.
That's great, unfortunately it isn't the case with most guys on social media.

Not that this is really that important, but Ginobili is 6'6".
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

Ben Simmons is an 0 and D specialist.

I’ll see myself out.
He'd actually be really good on offence if he played the Draymond role, but the Sixers can't do that because Embiid is their centrepiece.

Yeah, bad fit.

I’m sure there’s a way to use him, but his limitations are really exposed in the playoffs. He was benched at the end of the game because he’d been intentionally fouled two straight trips. Can’t hide that. And he can’t do a few things Dray can. He’s not as stout on defense, meaning you need a stretch 5 to play with him, and while Dray isn’t a good 3-point shooter, you can’t leave him entirely alone.

Look at it this way: would you trade Jaylen Brown for him? I sure wouldn’t.

Obviously, the series isn't over yet and you need to factor in circumstances for some of this stuff (injuries, etc...)  but seeing this Doc stuff on paper....yikes.

Pretty sure those teams had two all time greats in Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard. Also, Manu Ginobli is 6’6”, Tony Parker is 6’3”.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I'm pretty sure Kawhi wasn't an all-time great while Duncan wasn't the MVP he was in '14. Mitchell is also 6'3.

His official measurement is 6'2" without shoes.

Mitchell is clearly not 6’3”. He looked shorter than Rondo when they were guarding each other. He’s listed at 6’1”.
