The reason for my optimism is just that. We have good young players.  Stars are made not born anyways.  Sully was playing like a top 10 player at points last year until he got hurt.  Love would not have been a huge upgrade.  Sully is young. It takes guys a bit.

I'm done with Sully.

He has had way too many CHANCES and EXCUSES that users like you, (not meant to be a personal insult, just an example,) make for him. And I am SICK and TIRED of players who are blessed to be professional athletes, but squander every little chance to a point where even Ainge who is one of the most patient GM's even told him to lose weight or be traded.

I agree with that so I am happy they got hurt so that Golden State could win.

It's pretty much Cavs own the East title the next five years.

So......really doesn't matter much .........West is overall stronger ...but east has the best team

Long as LeBron stays healthy.

A tuff luck LeBron  injury ....could upset whole East conference apple cart

Seriously though I dont see where Marcus, Sully, KO, Bradley and guys like Isiaiah can't contend. Why not?  Good coaching get these guys playing tough and running.  I don't see why we can't be like the Celtics of the 70's.

We won't have that superstar but we will be a vicious running team.

I am thinking OKC or Spurs comes out of the West. This prediction is based off of OKC resigning Kanter and Spurs signing Aldridge.

OKC starting 5 > Clippers starting 5. OKC bench > Clippers bench.

If OKC's new coach is not like Scott Brooks, I.E. he can actually coach, then I have OKC as favourites to win it all.

Zeller at center. We are going to be a beast of a team. It's going to be a really interesting year.  All you stat junkies are going to eat your words.

Our young guys are about to pay dividends.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Quote
The Celtics would have been bigger contenders to land Kevin Love if the team’s roster wasn’t stocked with still developing players, Steve Bulpett of The Boston Herald writes. “Look, Kevin’s first choice is to stay with Cleveland, and I have no doubt that’s going to get worked out,” a source close to Love said. “But I think Kevin’s liked Boston for a while as a place to play. If their roster was more ready to win right now, maybe there’s a chance we’re having a different conversation. And maybe he’d be going back to Cleveland no matter what. All I know is that a lot of teams wanted in on him, and Boston was one of the only ones he spoke to.” Love announced his intention to return to the Cavaliers earlier today.

I can kind of see that. Not being able to make impact moves or moves to try to win now is probably what turned off Love. Although, I don't care anymore about Love.

He made his decision. I'm just not going to be surprised when Love comes out talking about how frustrating it is being the 3rd wheel.

I also think if we had won at least one or even two games in the playoff series, that would've been the difference maker in Love choosing the Celtics.

Oh well. I really wish Love was on our team, because hes the type of player we desperately needed.

I'm just glad it's over and we can concentrate on our own team and the beast of a team it is.  We are going to beast.  Who needs Kevin Love.

LOL no.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.
