Not available to me.   I must be banned.

While I have no idea why that happened (as I neither saw the thread nor am a moderator), you have NCE below your name now, which stands for No Current Events.  So, yes, you have been.

I haven't been in that section for over a month (I rarely posted there anyway) and I'm also not seeing it today. I think this is some sort of error and not a purposeful ban. Or if it was a purposeful ban then perhaps the mods need to look at the reasons for it because I never received a warning or notification.

Nor did I receive any notice.

The Current Events forum operates under, essentially, a "one strike" policy. There's no notice or warnings given. If you break our rules in there, your posting privileges are likely to be revoked.

Other than that, we won't publicly comment on discipline, but are happy to discuss matters privately.

You'll enjoy this place more without trying to make any headway in the CE forum.  Trust me.

You have to be careful whom you disagree with. It helps if you keep track of who can violate stated policies with impunity, and what points of view they support. Regular readers may notice a pattern.

We've had the same accusation made by both conservatives and liberals. I'm sure whatever pattern one sees is in confirmation of their own biases.

The pretense of false equivalency is very popular in some circles. Very popular indeed.

I suggest you consider how much you enjoy posting on the forum at large before proceeding further, S87.

This will be my last post on this subject because I don't otherwise care that much.

I did notice that some of the moderators were some of the more aggressive posters. I don't think it had as much to do with their personal politics as it did with their knowing they could get away with being a bit more direct. But it's not a big deal because we're not going to solve the world's problems on a basketball forum anyway.

Huh? I don't get this post. What do you mean by proceeding further?
