Going into a battle with guys like Wade , Butler and Rondo .....without Smart ....I know I predicted this loss as soon as heard Marcus was out of action.   Too many handicaps going in.

We ll see how Rondo, and Wade fair after another 50 games under their belts.   They are frisky now and all lovey dovey ....when the wheels come off as injuries pile up. ...then losses

We caught then on a back t back , with it being their first game , all revved up and home crowd ,  and all, those old legs feeling great from a Summers rest.

Guys, when was the last time Dwyane Wade hit 4 3's in a game?
Someone on the broadcast said that's what he worked on all summer.

everyone did.

I'm sure Smart did too.

He'll regress back to the mean by their next game.

Maybe this team needs an attitude adjustment.  Some very questionable defense through two games.

Mike

It's really hard to judge the team's D without Smart in there. He's such an integral part of our D that goes underappreciated.

I actually didn't think our D was bad at all outside of the rebounding issues. They just hit shots. Wade and Butler won't hit the three like that all season long, or ever again for that matter.

This

People are so easy to give up on Smart and throw him in  their horrible trade ideas. Smart is the anchor of this team's defense and the emotional team leader. This team made comebacks from huge deficit with him most of the time.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Rebounding will be this team's Achilles heel. But alot of us feared that going in.

SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

Another solid and encouraging game from Jaylen.  Still love what I see out of Bradley and crowder.  We are a really good team.

We simply HAVE to run more offense through Horford. It's worked virtually every time that we've ran the ball through him. Otherwise, it's just us relying on IT's penetration or settling for jumpers.

Jaylen's first uhoh moment reminded me of a Tony Allen uhoh on D vs Billups for some reason.   The plays were nothing alike..... but still uhoh!   The rookie cost us a play, which could have been the game..   He should have shot it, he had the look.  It was a bad take, but finish.

We need another finisher.   Tyler Zeller can't finish for a 7 footer.  Its to bad!

Brad coached very well late, but the first 3 quarters of getting owned on the boards falls on him. That small line up with IT, Bradley, and Rozier was plain stupid.

Crowder is officially the best contract in the NBA, is he sniffing around an all-star spot or am I tripping?

Jaylen cost us this game, but the very fact that he was closing the 2nd game of his career indicates that he's going to win us many, many games throughout his career. He's worth being excited about. He could be a franchise-altering player.

You can call Zeller anything but a bad finisher. The problem is his post defense. At least he tried this game.

He didn't lose the game, he just didn't have the clutch gene in his 2nd NBA game ever. If he would have hit we would be calling him a basketball God and crowning him the next Jordan.

He'll be in the discussion for the bench spots. It's insane that he only shot 6 times tonight; he has to be more involved. Let's cut down on Zeller's usage and give AB some more rest (40 minutes played).
