;D magic johnson put himself in a hole
This guy lavar is using his sons like bargaining chips. He says lonzo will go to any nba team that will accept all 3 sons. He also calls them the original big 3...
https://twitter.com/Urbodo/status/963142648348409857
LaVar Ball said Lonzo Ball will attempt to leave the Lakers if the franchise doesn't sign LaMelo Ball and LiAngelo Ball.
Lonzo Ball's two younger brothers are currently playing in Lithuania. Lonzo Ball would be unable to leave as an unrestricted free agent until the 22-23 season.
"I want all my three boys to play for the Lakers," said LaVar Ball. "But if that does not happen, I'm telling you the story that's gonna happen first. If they don't take Gelo this year, I (will) bring Gelo here (Prienai) to play with Melo for two years. Lonzo will be on his third year and I want to let let every NBA team know that Lonzo is not going to re-sign with the Lakers but will go to any team that will take all of my three boys. That's my plan.
"Lonzo plays best when is with his brother. Why wouldn't - he is hell of a shooter. They don't play the same position. You see how successful he was when he was with his brother?
"Why wouldn't you be smart and say: so, you want your brother? Come on, let's complete the Royal Flush and get the other brother.
"We don't have to go to any draft, just him in free agency. You don't have to give Gelo $15 million. Give my million for three years, we'll take it. Cause they make so much money off the court.
"So now you win championship after championship on the fact that my boys will never leave. That's what I mean: championship, championship, championship. You got to keep the team together for a long time, but you can't because more money is offered, that's why guys jumping between the teams.
"But what's better than three Ball boys together? The Big Three. The original Big Three.

LOL, this is so ridiculous I struggle to believe it’s real. Magic really has to put him in his place (or not, I don’t mind it ;D )
I don’t know who would offer any of them much money, they’ve proved literally nothing. Even Lonzo has proven very little
-
This guy is so unbelievably amazing.
Keep on that crazy grind, LaVar.
-
Sooooooo glad we didn't take Ball...whole family are idiots
-
Guess Lonzo is going to play in the G-League with his brother then. No way a team is going to 'waste' roster spots on non-NBA talents unless LiAngelo is offered a two-way contract.

you kind of answered it... There has to be a team that thinks lonzo and lamelo are so good that giving a small contract and roster spot to gelo is worth it. Melo is top 7 in his class.
-
Didn't anyone tell Lavar that teams can ship players around the continent without their consent?
Good luck with the 3B brand in say - Charlotte.
He'd be wearing Jordans within a week.
-
Good luck with that, Lavar.
Pretending for a moment both brothers are actually good enough to get drafted, there isn't much the Lakers can do if one of them gets selected prior to the Lakers' draft slot.
But hey, maybe Lonzo will enjoy playing in Lithuania.
-
He's driving his NBA quality son (debatable) out of the league. Good job daddy.

I think that depends on whether or not they are drafted in the 1st round. If they are drafted in the 2nd round they could - as far as I know - declare that they are only willing to sign a 1-year contract (just like K.J. McDaniels with Philly back in 2014), thus allowing them freely to sign with the Lakers once their contract runs out the following summer. So essentially the Lakers could wait one year for them to become free agents, and I imagine that the brothers (and Lavar) wouldn't mind waiting that long.
LiAngelo - IMO - is not good enough to get drafted in the first round but LaMelo, on the other hand, is another story provided that he improves his decision making and his effort on the defensive end.

2nd round picks are RFA's for their first three years. A team could theoretically just match any offer sheet.
-
I think they will call his bluff on that one and no one in the NBA will sign all three.
-
I hope Lonzo has started working on his Lithuanian to make the process easier
-
I guess you have to appreciate that level of confidence; however, Lavar seems to have gone full-blown delusional now. Wow!
And of course Lonzo played better when he was with his brother(s)...he was in HIGH SCHOOL! Now he is playing against NBA players.
The Lakers can at least take solace that they drafted Kuzma this year.
-
Obviously this guy is delusional and isn't taking his prescriptions. Maybe the drugstores in Lithuania have them on back order. The Lakers had to know what they were getting themselves into when they drafted.
-
Wow. With anyone else you’d think this is satire and/or trolling. But this seems like legitimately Lavar. Can anyone say delusions of grandeur?

The only bit of credit I’d give him is at least he doesn’t think LiAngelo should get more than the minimum. (He shouldn’t even get a G-League look, of course, but that seemed like some small progress to at least admit one of the Balls isn’t as good as the others.)
-

yep. he is as dumb as a fence post
-
Poor Lonzo must feel like it's his Bar Mitzvah and his dad is bragging about all the good things that he has done. He really wants to say, "Dad, stop, you're embarrassing me!," but he's been through this enough times to know that the best thing to do is let his father talk and move on.

Lavar: take all my sons or else
Next I will have to be made head coach or else
________________
If Lonzo does not cut ties with his dad very soon...he will be out a nba job.
He can join his brothers in Lithuania
-
Lonzo isn't even good enough to justify any concessions, let alone absurd ones like this.
Beyond that, Lamelo is on track to possibly (though lavar could ruin that) draw interest from nba teams in a few years. That is beyond the Lakers control. And the middle brother is several steps below nba level talent.
-
I would trade him to the Nets. Teach him to open his stupid mouth.

The Nets are in Brooklyn, it would be far worse to trade him to a place like Memphis, who is in a crappy market and is also a crappy team.

Thankfully, Danny passed on both Lonzo and Fultz for Tatum. What a huge win that was.
-
J.R. Smith reportedly helped Chris Smith out with the Knicks.
-
Markelle Fultz look like a bust. Lonzo Ball look like a bust.
Dang, Danny Ainge trading down two spots just to get an extra pick for Jayson Tatum!
-
There isn't anything Magic or the Lakers can do about Lavar. He's just a moron. It's on Lonzo to make some public statements that we should all disregard whatever his Dad says. He really needs to do this.
On another note, Lonzo is no bust. He has a chance to be a great player; even better than Tatum potentially.

Zoran Dragic got to be an NBA player for a season as well in Phoenix and Miami.

agreed on lonzo but his form is also very bad
-
Lonzo is charging for autographs now too. Very Sad if he is under the grip of his dad that bad. Hopefully Magic will get through to Lavar one day soon.

Most athletes charge for their autographs. The question is why do we fans pay for it. I always found paying some someone autograph to be just weird. I guess it proves they touched the item you have?
I'm not hating on this family. The dad helped them become millionaires, the entire family. My dad didn't do that for me, he trained me to fit in and be like everyone else so here I am commenting on the millionaire family.
Doesn't matter if you don't like him but don't discredit what he did for that marginally talented family.
Lavar not my cup of tea but he's willing to do anything to see his family succeed. Kudos to him.
-
If he decides to sign with the Lakers, I just have to believe that LBJ will demand that Lonzo be traded. James will not want to deal with both Lavar's behavior and Lonzo's game.
FG% 35
3PT FG% 30
FT% 48

What has Memphis ever done to you? Besides Memphis is a decent organization. It would be funny if they traded Lonzo and a 1st to the Kings for Fox.
-
In the context of league trends, is it really that crazy to request? Guys don't even feel the need to fulfill contractual obligations anymore (oh, hi Guillermo?!) -- they even present themselves as victims if the contract doesn't cater to exactly what they want!! Lol. Based on what's typically excused or glossed over, I think Lavar is well within reason here. Hopefully the Celtics find a way to snag the trio before they put Lithuania on the map and redefine winning.

LiAngelo Ball has declared for the 2018 NBA Draft.
Ball has played professionally with Lithuanian team Vytautas Prienu since parting with UCLA in December.
Ball is expected to work out for several NBA teams when he returns from playing for Vytautas and will participate in the Pro Basketball Combine at IMG Academy (Florida) in May in front of team executives.

Seriously doubt he has any chance of getting drafted, even by the Lakers. He is just not that good.
-
Lakers are dying to get rid of players to make cap, space for two maxs . Im sure they want all three screw Balls on the team .....which comes with their big mouth old man.
Thats enough prospect as a GM to get rid of Lonzo right there alone.

I'd like to see the Celtics trade for the last pick and take Ball. Just for fun.

He is writing checks he can't cash with this one.

that would be hilarious.

Seems like it. The Lakers would be pretty stupid to draft Liangelo.

Now that's a twisted idea I might be able to get behind . . .
-
I actually think Lonzo is the best fit in Lithuania anyway
-
i guess they all should play elsewhere
suggest another universe
