I'm starting to like this guy over anyone around the top of the 2018/2019 draft:

Super versatile forward with elite defensive potential but does he have the first step, explosiveness and decision making to be a primary option offensively?

Overview:
-can play any position 1-4 ( plays PG for his AAU, HS, and u19 teams)

-all-nba defense team potential. "one AAU game defended Marvin Bagley and the opposing team’s PG about half the time each. Battled Bagley for post position, good job of denial."

-Incredible handle especially for his size, can stop on a dime

-6'7 with crazy 7'1 wingspan (longer than RJ Barrett)

Weakness is low 3pt percent but when his feet are set his shot is money. He has good range and comfortable from nba 3.

why trade when you can have a cost controlled prospect on a good contract, and the best prospect coach in the game in steven? The top of the draft has nba ready players with high ceilings on good contracts. Give this guy the Celtic coach who developed bradley/rozier/brown 3 pt shot and we got another winner. Davis isn't going to be traded for any number of picks, and this guy Reddish is good for us

Because one in the hand (Anthony Davis), is worth two in the bush (2022 and 2023 championships are in bush)  :-*

yes I would trade the pick for Davis as well. The problem is that Davis isn't being moved if we are honest with ourselves

We absolutely need Davis to force his way here. I'm having serious doubts of that happening but you never know

Yeah, with New Orleans actually doing pretty solidly I have a hard time imagining him forcing his way out. They’d have to completely collapse

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Don't like Cam Reddish, but we'll see if my mind changes. Far too passive at times, jumper looks inconsistent, but he does have that killer mentality.

I'm hoping for Porter's brother to step up his game, improve his shot, and lose his body fat. Zion Williamson looks promising if he can improve his jumper, and his underrated passing looks pretty good.

It's pretty much up to Nassir Little or Cam Reddish for the best SF prospect. I think Barrett is better off at SG/SF, and he'll have a similar career trajectory as DeRozan.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply

I'm all for using the Sac pick and other accessory assets to move up and take a big, if it means we keep our current young wings.

If that isnt available, I'd rather roll it forward, and go into next year with the what 4 possible 2019 1sts (lol.) You basically hope for the 2nd overall pick, and pick someone out of Reddish (going to be amazing,) Barrett, or one of the other million wings. Ultimate prize would be to snag Wiseman if he reclassifys.

EXACTLY what we need, another talented wing player to make sure Hayward, Brown, and Tatum are properly hydrated during every game..

I agree about rolling it forward if getting into the top 5 in the 2018 draft means sacrificing one of our awesome young wings.

An alternative option for getting our big man of the future is to use the '19 picks next June to acquire one of 2018's bumper crop of big men.  Between the overabundance of big men in the NBA already, the potential for fit issues on the team that drafts them, and every NBA teams need/desire for quality wings, I think there is a very good chance that 12 months from now one of Ayton, Jaren Jackson, Mo Bamba, or Wendell Carter will have lost enough luster to be viewed as expendable by the team that drafted them if the C's are offering up a quality 2019 lottery pick in a wing heavy draft.

If we manage to get anybody in tier 1 or tier 2 of that list, I will be perfectly happy. And the rest of the league will be very very sad.

What do people think about the reputation of the stepien site? I was interested that they see (a lot) more top end talent in the 2019 draft compared to this year’s (five players in tier 2 in 2019 versus two players in tier 2 this year). That seems to be a minority point of view.
