Dragan Bender is snubbed, once again.

Here's my thing, though -

Is it TOO MUCH nowadays to say nice things about people? Was Jordan Crawford referring to Melo? How can dude come out the blue like that and say that?

I live in Virginia.....are Bostonians THAT Green Koolaid-ish to where we can't even congratulate a player like Melo on his accomplishment here?

Even "IF" Luka or someone else won it - I barely see a PEEP in the NBA 2019-20 thread about Melo and what he's doing...especially recently.....BUT: I saw more negative comments on here when he had just started out in POR and was having bad games...

Do we want to see some players fail?

Is it not "Celtic Like" to congratulate other Non-Celtic Players?

Is the earth flat outside of BOS?

OK - I get LeBron James. Dude has been a GODZILLA-SIZED thorn in The Boston Collective for quite a while now....but Melo?

Seriously?

I'm pulling for him and POR, myself. Dude has a rep apparently - with some of the blame on him. But it looks like things are working out for him now and I'm glad myself.

I thought it would be pretty clear that it was a joke.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Didn't deserve it, but I'm happy to see Melo is suddenly having a resurgence in his career. His main weaknesses are still a huge issue, and if the Blazers are smart, they'll put forth the effort in bringing in more defensive minded players to off-set their offensive units.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

My Bad.

In this day and age of Digital communications...tweeting...texting....ANYONE can send out a message from anywhere....EVERYONE has a voice. Thought it was from JC.

Moiso explained to me what the issue was.

i think most of his issues were mental .

he was stubborn ,  demanded attention, the ball,  and while being a good guy was never a team player.

He finally has decided to accept he is a role  player and help his team..  ..wow ...smh

some guys really mature slowly .

Portland went 3-0 on the week.  In those 3 games Melo was 27 of 47 scoring 67 points, grabbing 23 rebounds, though dished out only 8 assists.  He turned the ball over just 5 times.

Clearly not the most statistically deserving (Doncic among others), but given the feel good nature of it and the basically meaninglessness of that "award" I don't have any issues with Melo getting it.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick
