Charlotte Gets Ray Allen

Boston gets:
Sean May
Adam Morrison
Jared Dudley
Ray Felton
Matt Carroll

Why Charlotte Does this: Because on this blog we have seen numerous trade ideas that other teams must except basically because we want their players, and the salaries match up.  I was thinking about throwing in BBD or Powe because that seams to be the thing to do right now, but i held back because I want as many undersized power forwards as possible adding dudley and may to the mix

Why Boston does it: Because obviously we want to get a rid of a guy who had Paul Pierce not been nothing less than phenomenal would have been the finals MVP.  A guy who is a future hall of famer.  Who has been nothing less than a class act and general good guy since he has been in Boston.

Note: This is a joke

I forgot to mention.  After scal spent most of the end of the season on the bench.  Carrol will fill our egregiously overpaid white guy quota.

No.  Definitely not.

Sean May - always hurt.  Has never shown to be an NBA player
Morrison - bust
Dudley - looks like a nice reserve
Felton - a backup PG
Carrol - a one dimensional shooter

The Joke is that i tried to set up a horribly bad trade to shed light on the fact that we should not trade Ray Allen, but it just seems to be the thing to do to come up with these trade ideas.

I saw this in the latest topics, and was like this better be a joke...Thankfully it was.

Oh.

I guess the joke must be on me because I just started a thread with a discussion on a horrible Ray Allen trade idea.

Although maybe not because that thread is actually about a discussion of what type of return we could get if we traded Ray Allen and not that specific trade.

But I still don't get it.

Typically when you have to explain your sarcasm, it failed. but your point is not lost on me. As I said in another thread, letting Ray Allen play out his contract and trying to sign him for another 3 years at 8-10 million, then falling back to a sign and trade, may well be our best option.

what makes you think Morrison is a bust?  His rookie year wasn't great by any stretch of the imagination, but it also wasn't nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be and he was actually improving as the year went on.

He of course didn't play at all last year, so there are very real injury issues with him (same as with May), but I think it is a bit early to call a guy who played just 1 year and averaged double figures a bust.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Hmm, low thresh hold for Ray Allen posts..... good thing he didn't have a low thresh hold for Antoine Walker posts, he'd been dead a long time ago!!

I dont get the joke either. Charlotte and Jordan won't trade away half their youthful/talentless team for an aging allstar, and Boston has enough young guys...
Can't stop, Rondo!
