Well TP for the effort at least. You do seem to love your polls.

Seems like though that this is literally an impossibility.

To answer the question though, Noel.

Really comes down to Noel, McLemore and Muhammad.  I think this draft is a bit underwhelming at the top, though.  I see all three as eventual solid starters, but none of them are the sure star that you'd hope to get at the top of any draft.

something closer to where the pick we may get, wouldnt mind taking a chance on whithey if he is available, could be a serviceable guy and i think he defs has a more polished offensive game that what Noel would have.

Seriously have no idea with this draft atm. its underwhelming compared to last year.

Glenn Robinson III With the Celtics possible #15 pick in the 1st RD. if they keep it. Memphis currently has none in the 1st so i think they may trade us & take it.

Looks like we will pick in the 15th range..so I think Willie Cauley Stein will be there and they should take him. Now will he come out early? Im a Wildcat fan and watch every game. He should stay another year in my opinion but if he does come out then the C's should take a shot at him.

Who I really want to get that may or may not be in our range is Alex Len, Steven Adams and Archie Goodwin. Potential wise, they are oozing with it.

Kelly Olynyk I think is a safe pick as well.

But this is just me, I'd take a shot at Ryan Kelly. He's one of those Dukies where he wont be a very good player but will be a solid role player off the bench. He's not the fastest or the strongest, but he's all effort. I like his mid range game and he could probably extend that range. He's well coached, high character and has good size. He's not going to turn into an all star, but he could be a solid role player.

I'm starting to like Tim Hardaway Jr.  He's got good size, can play either guard spot, and can score the ball well.

A future backcourt rotation of Rondo, Bradley, and Hardaway Jr. would be pretty sick.

Another guy is Willie Cauley-Stein.  He's been a nice surprise for UK this year, and he and Noel have looked pretty good on an underachieving team.  He's got lots of potential, but would be a big-time gamble.  Danny's our GM, so I'm sire he wouldn't hesitate if he thought Cauley-Stein would help us.

Amen to Big Dog 2.0. Doubt we actually see him.

Dario Saric could be a high-potential high-risk pick that can make a franchise in 3 years.

I am usually in your camp, but for some reason I've started paying attention. The first overall idea is way off, but looking at 14-18 picks, its fun to speculate. Do you go for a bird in hand or a prospect in the bush? BPA? Its a fun little game.

There should be an option for trading our pick away for an established player. I would do that... this class sucks! :D

Reminds me of the 2011 draft. Without Kyrie Irving.

EDIT: Actually more 2010.

How many UNDERSIZED power forwards do we need on this team??

Look for 6-11 and up please!  Need more size, rebounding, and defense in the paint!  And please get someone more skilled than Fab Melo this time around!

It really is simple. We just trade Jeff Green for the #1 overall pick.

You Are On The Clock

You should consider re-running this poll with at least the consensus lottery guys removed. I'm not a draft expert, but I think that means at the very very least to get rid of the options for Noel, Mclemore, Len, Smart, Porter, Muhammad, Bennett, and Zeller. Probably also Harris and <gulp, sad> Oladipo.

Sometimes, the 6-9 guy has more rebounding and defense than the 6-11 guy.

Exactly. A lot of votes wasted here on people who are going to be off the board when the Celtics pick. Noel, for example, is not going to be available.

I'd love it if we could trade up enough to get Glenn Robinson III. Especially if we were able to keep our core guys together to do it (read: AB, Rondo, Green). I'd trade Sully to get this kid, as he is the explosive, athletic SF we'd want to replace Pierce. Our fastbreak would just be ridiculous, as would our defense. About 99% sure it won't happen though. Just out of curiousity, how many people think Mclemore will go number 1? How often does a SG go number 1, and would it be a wise decision?

Name a legit 7 foot center in this draft, in our range, and that is good enough to make an impact in the NBA.

Here's a hint: There aren't any.

He seems like he fills quite a few of the celtics needs/ tendencies (7ft, can run the floor, good back to the basket game)?

Olynyk is not known for his defense. He needs to work on that, and work a lot. His strengths are he has solid offensive skills down low, a good midrange shot. He's an offensive Center who can score down low and outside the perimeter. He lacks athleticism though and is MIA on defense on most times.

I think he can have a Big Al effect offensively. He's really good down low. His array of moves and footwork is NBA level and he can probably drop 15-17 a game on 6-7 shots. His defense needs a ton of improvement, but he's mobile for a big man so that's a plus. And we have the perfect defensive mentor to show him the stuff.

At this point he's probably top 10 now so chances are we wont be able to grab him.

My choice is Rudy Gobert. However,if this Adeto kid falls to us he will be a defensive gem. He could frustrate and keep up against LBJ.

McAdoo, McAdoo, McAdoo.... big Mac attack...

Big Carolina fan here, and I gotta say that McAdoo had one of the most disappointing sophomore seasons after a strong freshman year. He looks like a classic tweener (less polished version of Antawn Jamison. Remember Jamison was NPOY before declaring for the draft). I just don't see him being able to guard quick 3's, or big 4's in the NBA. He has great athleticism, but his offensive game looked very shaky. No consistent jump shot or post moves. Not the strongest rebounder either. Considering some people thought he had player of the year type talent in him, he really hurt his stock coming back to school.

I also wouldn't be surprised if he went back to school for another year. Thats how much his stock fell this past year.

I personally think PJ Hairston is the best pro prospect on the team. Great athleticism, big/strong body, can shoot the lights out, very strong rebounder and basically carried the Tar Heels when he was put in the starting lineup midway through the year. He could be a very solid 2/3 in the league. His recent play may have moved him into the first round. Kid has pro size, athleticism and skill.

Honestly I hope they C's trade the pick to a team like memphis, for someone like Ed Davis, who is buried on the bench.

But if you're looking for someone to catch the ball at the extended elbow, take two dribbles, and try to bank in an off-balance 12-footer while drifting toward his shooting hand, he's your guy!

I may be a little bitter after the Kansas game.
