I am not a fan of Tatum now being our #1 option, set up in an iso, for last shots.
What happened to Stevens' creative genius with the last second out-of-bounds plays ?

Tatum hit tonite after a nice spin & fade, but he more often gets trapped and barely gets a shot off.
He sure don't look to pass out of those double teams.

Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

C's have 4 legit 20+ scorers.  They've got to figure out how to maximize the talent.

I missed most of the game.  How'd Rob do?   Is it looking like he's going to get minutes once the playoffs start?  Did he play Vucevic at all?  If so, how did it go?

Very effective in limited min. 8 points, block and steal and good D.

Definitely playing into playoff rotation.

Good effort for some Magics second knives. But our talent took it against their will. Good to see Tatum in a close ending. The biggest news of the night is maybe that Philly is continuing struggling, especially defensively against the Blazers. This first round look now more open for us.

Philly keeps losing and they will end up 6th and playing us. I don't like it.

Embiid Hurt. May be a good matchup.

I love it. No Simmons and potentially no Embiid

Left game v Portland with ankle injury. Unclear how serious.

My biggest takeaway from tonight’s game:

Kemba was crap.

He’s becoming defensive liability which is not offset by offensive prowess.

Reminds me of early season Kemba.

I love the guy and want him to succeed.

He needs to bring it.

I think he wants to succeed here as bad as any of us want him to. Sounds like a quality person.

But I'm afraid he is playing hurt right now and that is the misery of it. He hardly ever loses playing time during his career until he gets here and now, all those miles catch up with him. As usual, the Celts are being mysterious, scratching their heads like they don't know what's wrong. It's easy enough to have the knee scanned and see what the problem is. I've got to believe they have already done that - if not, I would have serious doubts about the entire organization. Just watch, he will have surgery during whatever off-season the league cobbles together. They have to know what is wrong and are probably nursing him thru this in the hopes that he can contribute in the playoffs. All of us hope he can.

I knew we should have gone after a younger, playmaking point guard, paid a lot less and used the money to upgrade the post - or to keep Baynes.
And we still need that absolute knock-down, catch & shoot guy off the bench. Danny keeps drafting guys to fill that, but their college shooting has not translated to the pro game with bigger, quicker defenders and a longer 3-point line.

I think we'll be fine with Kemba. We have the luxury of having an offense where not everyone has to score for us to be effective. Even though he struggled with his shot he still had 6 assists and it looked like he was moving pretty freely. Just couldn't make a bucket. Just like JT in the first scrimmage. I wouldn't count him out on the basis of a few games.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

We'd probably be in a worse place if we'd gone that way, considering no such PG was available. He's not our most important offensive weapon, but his ability to move off the ball and shoot from anywhere is crucial to our offence

Also I don't know how well a more traditional playmaking point guard would do on this team. Brad's system is more of a "playmaking by committee" offense rather than using a designated ball handler. Similar to the Spurs system, it doesn't really allow for big assist numbers.

Is Markelle Fultz seemingly trying to redeem himself as the #1 pick of that 2017 draft? Double-double tonight for him with 16/10.

He's been solid for the Magic after getting traded there, the Sixers really screwed up his development imo.
