Is Jared the best draft pick for the Celtics since Paul Pierce?

Rondo was traded here...

Joe Johnson, Al Jefferson are ahead of Sully right now.

I wouldn't count Joe. we didn't use him.
I forgot about Big Al. but Al was not this talented on the C's.
He got way better under Kevin Mchale in Minnesota

Rondo was traded, yes, but the Suns were picking who the Celtics told them to. It was definitely a Celtics pick,

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Sullinger like Mike said was a lottery talent given to us as a gift. Or something like that

Kid is great. I read somewhere recently Sullingers best comparison is Danny Forston. Remember him?  I can see the resemblence big time

It's too bad olynyk is struggling. I was hoping they make a great upfront combo

Sully is far better than Fortson. Sully to me is borderline Kevin Love's carbon copy without being the focal of the team.

The is not a no. not just yet because there hasn't been a legit draft pick yet after Paul Pierce.

Rondo = Traded
Joe Johnson = was not as good as he is now
Al Jefferson = was not as good as he is now

Sully to me is ahead of both Joe & Big Al & even Rondo for pretty much his 1st real season in the league.

To clarify for people who don't get this, there is often a gap between when a trade is agreed to and when a trade is official announced.  This is especially true of draft day trades, which are often conditional agreements that will only go through if a certain player is still available at a certain spot in the draft.

With Rondo, an agreement was almost certainly made to do the deal only if Rondo was still there.  He was.  The teams agreed to the deal.  The Rondo pick was announced before the paperwork was done, so he was technically drafted by the Suns.

Just look at this past draft.  News of a draft day trade between Boston and Dallas came out before Olynyk was taken 13th overall.  Technically, KO was taken by the Mavs, but he was a Celtics pick all the way.

LOL.  You set the bar way too low with the Fortson comparison.  I like Sullinger.  But the truth of the matter is that nobody is untouchable on this roster.  If we can move him in a package for a top 5 pick in this year's draft, I'd seriously consider it.
