By trading IT, you'll be surprised at what the C's will be offered for him...not very much.

There is another option...pair IT with a Hayward type player or two that won't make us so reliant on his continually bailing the team out on the offensive end of the floor during the game. By surrounding him with better scorers in general, he can go to the bench when he's being abused on the defensive end.
Yes, start him...then treat him like a 6th man until the 4th quarter comes, and see what the team needs on a night by night basis. His minutes may decrease a bit, and he may not average 28-29, but he'd be properly utilized, and still be a "starter."
I've seen star players like Tim Duncan, and Lebron take less dollars so the team could actually better themselves, and have a chance for a ring. Why not IT?
