Why did the Clips kept putting Shamet on Tatum in the overtimes? Why not Kawhi? Also, I thought Kawhi was a bit passive, especially in OT. Maybe it was just him recognizing the hot hand in Lou Williams and letting him play.
I think he was tired.

Just realized - we won with Jaylen out, and with Kemba and Hayward shooting a combined 11-48 - 22.9%.

Also - Kanter was hobbled and a shell of himself. Tatum and Smart carried a load.

It was actually 11-38 - still a terrible percentage for your two max guys, but they came up big when it mattered.

I would say the PG/Brown losses seem to be a wash to me - especially since PG was playing less than stellar ball at the time. Also, I know they were missing Beverley, but they really couldn't have asked for any more from Shamet and Williams was given even more freedom to do whatever he wanted.

Overall, this was a great win for the Cs and it still feels just as good this morning as it did last night!

I can't be mad at Hayward after he closed the door in the second OT.

Hit the big three (5 point lead)
(Grant Block and steal and Tatum weak sauce offensive foul occur)
Blocked Lou's layup and hit the ball off him to gain possession.
Got the offensive rebound after his miss and maintained possession to force a foul
Hit both free throws
Stole the inbounds
Hit both free throws

Such a great game, would be such a bummer if they hadn't pulled it out.

I can't get mad despite the miss because they were good shots. And despite missing he was defending and rebounding pretty well. +/- is a wonky stat but there's a reason he was second highest this game.

I predicted we'd go 1-2 against @OKC, @HOU, LAC. To go 2-1 though is sweet.

Did the refs "guide" this game to OT the way they did out in LA?

I'll bet they'd be very happy to see another Celtics/LA rivalry.

Agree, TP.  He could have sulked after his poor shooting night, but instead played great D and hit big shots in end.  Pro's pro.

Hayward definitely channeled his inner Marcus Smart with that steal on the inbounds late in the 2nd OT. His last minute or so of the game Hayward was as clutch as clutch gets....in every facet of the game.

The only problem with going into the All-Star break after having a great game/great win is that now I have to wait a week for another C's game  :(

I'm pumped up now, I need more C's!

Just think if everybody comes back rested and rejuvenated and plays even better than they  have been.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I think I need the week for my heart to get back to normal.

This game was easily the best Celtic game of the year when it comes the quality of both team's play in the game, the closeness of the game throughout, the excitement level of the game and the entertainment level of the game.

If you didn't know it was Feb.13th you would have sworn this was a game in the Finals in June. It just had that quality and intensity to it. It took a while for me to get the heart slowed down so I could get to calm down and get some sleep.

I need this week to wash away the stench of that Houston game.
