Hadn't considered before this just how limited I've become in my sports interest. 

It's Celtics and Patriots.  That's it.  I don't watch other sports and who wins/loses is pretty irrelevant to me.

Presuming we're not including international teams (where fairly obviously I'm Welsh first and foremost followed by Irish though I do have a passion for the Italian soccer team - see my first team below for the reason why).

1. Inter (without a shadow of a doubt, even though soccer isn't my favourite sport, they're by far and away the most important team to me.
2. St. Helens (rugby league)
3. Kilkenny (hurling)
4. ASM (rugby union)
5. Celtics (growing on me very quickly).

I find it difficult to root for more than one team in any sport, so even though I know a lot more about other NBA teams than say any MLS team, I will still choose one from each sport:

The Celtics are easily my favorite team. 

I wouldn't say that I have a clear list after that. 

Not so long ago the Red Sox were #2, but I'm unhappy with that franchise after they traded Mookie to fix their own financial irresponsibility.  They have a lot of work to do to earn back my faith.  The Patriots and the Tennessee Vols (college football/basketball) are also somewhere on the list, but I'm not as zealous a follower of them for various reasons.

For myself I’ve really only got these four.

Perhaps very coincidentally, I was quite young when I started following the Celtics & Liverpool, well before I had any prior knowledge of the historical connection between the two cities. Fenway Sports Group then later purchased LFC & apparently years prior Robert Kraft was interested in buying the team.

As much as I love OSU, Browns ans Indians the Celtics are by far and wide my favorite sports team.  Bleed Green through and through.  Its a passion to be a Cs fan.  I don't miss a game ever and some I have to record but still watch none the less.  Can't live without my Cs. Lol.
