Edit:  Wow, this forum really is pretty extreme in terms of what it considers to be "profanity".  Maybe we should rename it to "snowflake strong"?

Oh my, with you as an Aussie I would *LOVE* to know what you wrote here haha I've found that what other countries find offensive and a curse word is drastically different from what we do here in the U.S. - especially in the UK and Australia.

It's technically not even profanity - it's a legitimate word that has been used since the Shakesperean days and literally just means "a child born out of wedlock".  However colloquially used in the modern day as an insult to imply that somebody is a bit of an unpleasant person.

I really think it's one of the more mild insults you could possibly use against somebody.  I'm pretty sure you could quite easily use this word on a daytime TV show or in a song on daytime radio without being censored.
