We haven't interviewed any top picks, right?  Would we if we had a plan to trade up or is that giving away too much leverage?

Top picks probably wouldn't work out for the us unless there were serious trade talks.

IIRC there's a limit on the number of prospects a team can work out, right? Hurts teams like us, as we have both a plethora of picks and an apparent desire to consolidate that into a higher pick.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)

Don't know what it is like in normal years.  Per Shams this year,

Quote
The NBA is allowing teams to begin conducting in-person meetings (medical evaluation, workout) with 2020 Draft prospects from Oct. 16-Nov. 16, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium. Teams receiving up to two visits per player; no more than 10 total among prospects.

Apparently some teams are going to skip the in-person meetings.  They'll do virtual interviews.

Lonzo Ball #1 would be a shocker.   :o

The trade with the Sixers is bad.  We don't need more picks this draft and I'd much prefer drafting Terry or Bane over Tillman.

The 2nd trade isn't possible as stated.  OKC keeps the best two of their own, Miami's and Houston's with Houston's being top 4 protected.  So OKC would have to trade the worst of the two picks they get.  In any case, I can't see OKC making this trade and certainly not for Paul Reed who is mocked to go in the 2nd round.

Ball is a much bigger/higher talent level than trigger happy Edwards imo.  His fg stats overall last season was dreadfull..... The guy is willing to shoot 6-22 etc.

I just feel like he would be a bad mix with the Wolves.

Between the Heat and Rockets 1st next season, its not a big deal. Both teams probably end up picking around the same range anyway

Nesmith defense is "raw".  His footwork and defensive IQ needs quite a bit of work.  I just don't think CBS/system is patient for these type of rookies.   Waiting for Tillman at 26 is risky imo.  If the Celts can't find a big player in the FA market (low chance),  a player like Tillman is just what the doctor ordered.  Exceptional defensive player, high IQ and can pass/handle the ball on offense.

Tillman - 6'8 Al Horford like

Quickley- KCP like.  Really good at running around screens with a hair trigger 3 pt shot.  6'3 with 6'10 wingspan.  Good 1 on 1 defensive player.  Kentucky product

Stevens - Jimmy Butleresque.   Not as good defensively.  But otherwise many similarities.  Exceptional mid range game

Tillie -  More explosive KO like. Stretch big

So you get your big (two choices - depending on situation),  two good 3 point shooters, and a versatile 3/4 in Stevens.  Who would should be an upgrade to Ojeleye

All of these prospects understand team basketball and ready to play from day 1.  Celtics are tied up in the cap and would need to replace/expand depth through this draft especially

Edwards at 6? What makes you think he'll fall so far?

Edwards is trigger happy but not an efficient scorer and shot below 30 percent in 3s.   The Dion Waiters comparison have some merit.   His focus on defense was also suspect.

The other aspects of his game are pretty decent but if he can't be that "scorer"....well at the end of the day you have a 6'4 inefficient SG

LaMelo ball is what 6'7, 6'8 guard what is probably the best and flashiest passer of the draft.  Due to height, creativity and bbiq he can connect passes only a few can.   His ability to rebound and fast break on his own, is Ben Simmonish.   Unlike his brother Lonzo, has a better jump shot.  Defense has been suspect throughout his career, but due to size... there is versatility potential

There has been no rumors attaching Edwards to GSW. Rumors swirling around that they dig Avdija.   Wiseman to Hornets make a lot of sense since Zeller, Biyombo are on their way out by end of next season.   Bulls already have Lavine as their SG/Colby White . Cavs already have Sexton/Garland  and are looking thin upfront.   But Okoro and Edwards (if he drops) are also options.  Thus I have Edwards dropping to 6 to the Hawks.

I just don't know if I get it. Timberwolves have a point guard already, and Lonzo Ball has much more serious shooting concerns than Edwards (lower shooting percentages across the board)
