Was thinking what if Brooklyn really wanted to reset and was willing to let C's keep the 2016 Nets pick. Could C's say no being so close to an ECF contender? What is there to lose if this is the deal,

Nets trade: Lopez and Young.
C's trade: Lee, Zeller, Sully, Rozier, JJ, Dallas 1st, Wolves 1st, 2017 Nets rights returned.

Nets get cap space, a few young players and three* 1st round picks to help the rebuild.

C's get two upgrades in Young over Sully and Lopez over Zeller. They also make their 2016 Nets pick likely higher. And the 2018 pick is still in hand if Nets rebuild stalls.

Lopez and Young are not worth that Nets pick when you consider how bad that Nets team will be without them.

They would still likely be very bad in 2018 not just 2017. Rebuilds take a bit. Overall it would be improving two picks the 2016 and 2018 and the current roster.

2017 looks to be a very strong draft.  I don't think we should give up that pick swap for anything other than a top 5 player.  I also don't think Lopez is worth giving up major assets for when the NBA is moving away from players like him.
