We are not trading for a bunch of young guys who aren't ready to contribute to winning. I mean have people actually looks at Jalen green's stats? The guy is a low volume chucker right now.

Sengun is good, the rest are meh...

And besides, Houston isn't really at a point where they'd do this trade either.

If Jaylen continues to underperform he will be considered a negative contract lol. No way would Houston give up that package for him.

I see a lot of comments like this.  I literally said it's not realistic,  but you have to do it if your Boston.  So to the posters that said this.  Do you agree you make this trade..

Also Green can come off the bench or you could flip him for another player.

Like others have mentioned, my thought in the preseason if Brown didn’t fit was a Nets deal structured around Bridges and DFS. I like the fit of Bridges here and the assumption here is Jaylen is fetching a return like this because he’s become a semi distressed asset.

Why would the Bulls do that for Simmons and only 1 pick, and also how can the Nets get Jaylen AND LaVine for just that?? That feels like highway robbery

That said, IF it doesn't work out and you decide to trade Jaylen next offseason, I would definitely consider a trade with Cleveland bringing Mobley back in the package. We do kind of have to also think about a Horford replacement for beyond 2025 in all likelihood.

Why it makes (reasonable) sense to do this trade:

Celtics: it would bring the team salary back under the taxable threshold, resetting the repeater tax.

Mobley would bring elite cover for Porzingis in case of injury or rest and still only 22 years old, he brings longevity to the core group.

Cavaliers: The Cavs are really on the clock to impress Mitchell enough to re-sign long term and offensively Mobley is still a work in progress. Bridges is in his prime, selfless and helps spread the floor.

Nets: Brown is locked up to a five year deal and although weaker on defence, is an upgrade offensively. Like Bridges there maybe be more to Brown without the shadow of Tatum.

Although LaVine is a health risk, he’s a huge upgrade over Simmons.

Bulls: This roster is dying for an elite passer, although he’s far from perfect, Simmons is just that. With only one year left on Simmons deal, the trade at least takes LaVine’s albatross (3 year) contract off the books.
