Yeah, pretty terrible.  Couple those two performances with the fact that the league oversold the Super Bowl (meaning that 400 people who had valid tickets couldn't watch the game from the field), and it was a pretty big cluster.

Usher was the only good part. My girlfriend spent the whole time trying to figure what movie it looked like. Finally I told her she meant Tron.

Fergie is the "Butterface" of performers, but instead of butterface, its "buttervoice".

As in "yeah she looks great in the videos...but her voice...."

I guess it could have been worse... The peas themselves were pretty boring, just standing in a straight line the entire time. The light up people on the field and stuff was kinda cool though.

Well I thought Usher was pretty cool.  The lights and special effects were cool.  Black Eyed Peas were pretty terrible I thought.  I found myself turning it to the puppy bowl.  Also, since they got Usher for a quick appearance, I'm assuming they could have gotten him to do the show on his own.  I do not know why they didn't do that.  He would have been much more entertaining.

ave to give Christina a little bit of credit. Yes, it was terrible to botch the nation anthem like she did but at least she attempted to preform it live. Most people tape it in advance like Jenifer Hudson did. It just backfired.

Lol have you seen, or better yet heard Axel lately?  Fergie does the song much better then he does now a days.  Was her performance a slap in the face to the original recorded version or Axel in his prime yes...but as for as Axel today goes it is a BIG step up.

I thought while the performers themselves were not that good I liked the presentation.  I didn't really hate is as much as most people seem to have.  To be honest most SB halftime shows have been trash.

The national anthem was awful. I despise seeing Christina Aguilera sing it (see: game 6 AND 7 2010 NBA Finals). But not only did she flub the words, some of the notes she hit sounded wretched IMO.
