Celtics acquiring an injured Bol Bol and PJ Dozier is effectively a salary dump for the present. Allows team to cut about $4 million in salary (avoiding tax territory) and maybe get a look at some intriguing young guys once they get healthy. Assume 2nd round pick sent out too.
For those wondering, P.J. Dozier is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, and Bol Bol is currently out with a foot injury. #Celtics #Nuggets
Some cap savings. Perhaps a month-long audition for Bol if he gets healthy. Dozier is expiring and not expected to return to the court before the end of the year, I believe.Nothing to see here, really. I think it gets us out of Juancho’s 22-23 season? Not sure whether that was guaranteed or not.

Bryn Forbes would have been really nice here. Bol Bol and PJ Dozier I'm guessing is a cost saving move? Although Bol Bol could be intriguing.
Denver, Boston and San Antonio are making a three-way trade that includes Juancho Hernangomez to Spurs, Bryn Forbes to Denver, Bol Bol and PJ Dozier to Celtics, sources tell ESPN.
PJ Dozier was a 2-way for us a few years ago that I was sad we let get away. I hope he gets healthy and can stick with us this time around.
