If we had these three players on the team. Two just misses and One player we absolutely should have on the

Tyler Herro,  Tyrese Haliburton and Desmond Bane. Three starters  from good teams.

Hero was Danny's guy. Haliburton was my guy, and Bane well we drafted him and moved him for nothing.  Ouch.

Just a small example of how close things could be to having a drastically different team that could probably compete for a ring this year and for years to come.

I'll say 53 wins this year with that roster. Instead we have Romeo and Nesmith.  Ouchie.

Timelord
Tatum
Brown
Herro
Haliburton

Smart, Bane, Horford,  Richardson

Wow. What a nine man rotation that is. Shooting,  playmaking.  So close yet so far away.

How often and how long are we going to dwell on Bane and Halliburton?

Any takers on this hypothetical celtics team?

The Grass is Always Greener team? I wish it were the team in Green  but Danny decided against it.

I was hoping, expecting actually, that Langford and Nesmith would become those guys for us, but apparently not?

Romeo had 2 of his better offensive games at the end of 2021, including a 16 point in 23 minutes against the Suns. Since then he’s barely played 23 minutes total in 9 games. He took 10 shots against Phoenix and only 8 since. 8 total in 9 games. What the heck happened there? He was averaging 14-15 minutes a game, which is about where he should be, but now he gets nada?

I understand that Nesmith needs some time on the court to develop too, and he’s gotten some run since returning from Maine, but PP and Langford have earned time as well. Instead they’ve been iced since contributing to the offense exactly as we need them to.

I was ready for both of them to increase their scoring to 8-10 points a game. They can’t do it from the bench or without anyone passing the ball to them. Meanwhile we’re still only running out an 8 man rotation playing playoff minutes. This team will breakdown before the 1st round at this rate.

It would be nice to have those guys, but we don’t know the cost of trading up.

Probably about the same.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I would think that if Neismith got the amount of playing time that those guys get, he’d be much better than he is now.

Forget the near misses like Herro and TH…. how much better would this team be without about 10 glaring actual misses in the past couple years?
