Unfortunately I don't think Brad Stevens preferred big Daniel Theis matches up well with Anthony Davis. Even when Davis is not scoring he is getting a lot of favourable foul calls when he is in the paint. You can bet if Theis so much as breathes on Anthony Davis in the paint he will be called for a foul.

After an initial 1st game loss against Houston Rockets Lakers dominated after Anthony Davis took his scoring to another level for the rest of the series. Whilst it can be argued that Rockets small ball line up was a huge mismatch against the bigger lakers what is not in question is the emerging confidence and dominat scoring of Anthony Davis.

His buzzer beater against Nuggets will further enhance his confidence

Do Boston Celtics or Miami Heat have the tools or the players to stop Anthony Davis ?

Hold your horses, after they haved proved me wrong 2 times in a row, I'm not surrendering Denver that easily.

Nuggets will also have to figure out how to stop Anthony Davis if they are to beat the Lakers

Davis can average 50 points per game against us or the Heat if we/them manage to completely lock down LeBron lol. The one who's driving the Laker offence is LeBron, not Davis.

G2 finished with a last-second shot, it wasn't a blowout.
LA can't stop Jokić as well. It could have easily been 1:1.

Why haven't we thought of that one before?

The stats would argue that Davis has been the much more dominant scorer.

Bron is the least of the Celtics worries.   They might be watching him get his next ring on their tv 's

Robert Williams last year blocked AD's shot twice, so the potential is there. Although I doubt Brad would give him the opportunity. Sigh.

Realistically, I'm not sure that any team left in the playoffs can shut down either of Davis or Bron, let alone both.

I think we're best suited to defending all the Lakers not named Anthony Davis. We have elite 1v1 and team defence with our wings, and their top 3 scorers after AD are LeBron, Kuzma and KCP. Throwing Smart, Brown and Tatum at those guys with Kemba and Hayward left for the Rondo and Green types sounds good to me.

Davis, however, will eat us alive most likely. Unless Timelord has been powering up for this showdown all along

AD and LeBron are too good to stop. Focus on the supporting cast. Let the Lakers play 2 on 5. I like those odds.

2 on 5? It's 8 on 5. Have you forgot the refs are going to give them all the calls. Take out 3 of their starters then it's 5 on 5.

Hopefully Vincent Poirier has been practicing his Tonya Harding / Jeff Gillooly strategy.
