Just thinking back to the times when he was wearing green brings a twinkle to my eye.

It seems like it was just yesterday he was lacing them up and going to battle with the captain, KG, Rondo, etc.

We all think we know more than we really do....

I'm guessing that this is going to be a thread that draws some mixed reactions (to put it mildly.)  ;D

Hope that you blow Lebron, Wade's, riley's, Spoelstra's and Juwan Howard's candles.

Hope you get older and older there in Miami.

Meh, I'll bite.

Ray, you're one of my top 10 favorite players of all time, and still are.  I still got love for you and am thankful for banner 17 and everything else.

But as long as you're wearing that ugly Heat uniform, I wish nothing but the worst for you on the basketball court (no injuries, of course).  I will love seeing the disappointment on your face after we beat your team down next year in the ECF.

Happy birthday Ray.  Don't forget your walker.

I hope he slips and falls and breaks a hip.  I hear that happens a lot to old people in Florida.

Id like to say people wont be calling us an old team anymore but I doubt it even though we are, in fact young

yeah i feel like this is the most sound reaction to ray for now for us Cs fans. we can't hate on the dude for what he did w/ us but as long as he's wearing that piece of junk miami jersey, he's dead to me. i wonder what his press conference will be like after we beat them next year and are headed to the finals... ;D

I think Ray, by deciding to take his talents to Miami, has done the Celtics a huge favor.

If Danny had traded him, half the Celtics fans (and possibly some of the team) would have heaped hate on Danny and been after his scalp.   After he left, with no return to the Celtics, he forced Danny to think outside the box, and I am pleased with the way Danny was able to put together a team this summer.

I personally will miss Ray in green and will miss Flo in the stands, but  is also my opinion that the whole situation will light a fire under the Celtics and that we are in a better position to go for #18 than we were before the defection.

Thank you, Ray, for helping the Celtics break through with #17.  I hope, except for another championship, your presence on the Heat turns out to be all that you hope it will be, and that you will be happy there.

Happy Birthday, Ray!

You're a brave person for putting this up lol. But happy birthday to (bet)Ray Allen.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.
