Enjoy.
I ran the draft simulator twice. The first time Philly got the #1 pick (Doncic); the second time we ended up at #3 (Jackson).
-
This gon be fun guys
:D
-
I feel like with all the hype and hope displayed here in these last 24-36 hours, we're all just setting ourselves up for disappointment despite the low odds as is, but screw it! I'm excited ;D
As long as Philly doesn't get #1 and CLE doesn't get a Top-3 pick out of all this, I'm happy.
-
What time is this?
-
As long as Philly doesn't get #1 and CLE doesn't get a Top-3 pick out of all this, I'm happy.
this is pretty much where I am at...such low probability for us to get the pick.
-
I really hate how they announce the picks. Instead of this reverse order BS, they should show us the actual lottery as each ball is picked. After each ball, they could pause for 10 seconds, and have an updated probability of each team getting that pick given the balls that have been selected. Would provide much more intrigue then us just waiting to see if the Lakers picks is there at 10,11 or 12, etc..

Took me 28 and then 17 times for the pick to convey to Boston. Let's go with your luck.
-
Last year was so fun with the draft lol.
We get pick #1 (extremely nervous DURING the lottery show), celebrate hard, have a Fultz week on this entire site (forums and main site), hear trade rumors, deny it, see it happen, have a meltdown, scream at Ainge, hear more trade rumors, nothing happens, Jackson refuses workout, we rage, then we draft Tatum, and the rest is history... 8)
I'm happy the way it worked out, and apologize to Ainge for raging at him about trading the pick (Fultz). I'm also glad we didn't trade for rental George. Allowed us to have good depth (bench)
-
Can you imagine the hootin' and hollerin' that will be happening here in the forum if we land #2 or #3? We'll crash the server :)
-
server was already down with lag with anticipation of the impossible happening—-How nervous we would be if we end up down to two teams..nervous and only 2.9 odds😁😁
-
You know- we have had two straight number 3 picks!. three times a charm?
-
As long as Philly doesn't get #1 and CLE doesn't get a Top-3 pick out of all this, I'm happy
Same.

Is it just me or is this lottery show just painful to watch?

that isnt how it works. it is a combination of balls and there are frequent redraws when a team gets its range of numbers more than once. it would be boring.
-
Chicago or cavs will be in top 3...nba want to keep lebron happy...also they want chicago be competitive again..renember derrick rose?
-
Game thread? Don't mind if I do!
-
So basically, if we don't hear them say Lakers/Sixers at #10 or lower (11-13 range), that means we suddenly got a 72-73% chance at a Top-3 pick (other 27% PHI getting #1)

final sleeping pill—silver interview
haha...the only thing keeping me awake is how much Silver looks like a vampire.
-
Adam silver got offended when reporter said the word "tank"
He calls it "incentives to lose" lol

If I hadn't just mowed the lawn, I would go and mow the lawn.

At this rate, we'll find out the lottery results by halftime... :P

lol, was silver a lawyer?
-
I heard Stern is overseeing draw
-
Idk how I was able to handle it last year with all this waiting, to see if we'd land #1 or get screwed out of Top 3 :P
That's probably the Suns, Grizz, Hawks, Mavs fans right now, etc

Yes, it is how it works, other than me mentioning the re-draws. Although to me, that would be exciting. Nothing about this is boring. Seeing your odds go up and down gradually is more exciting than just seeing that you didn't move up.

Cs the Moment!!!!!

Rich Gotham. Double desk with Philly for first time at the lottery
-
Rich looks happy
-
Can't lose to Elton Brand ... he hired away my cleaning lady once. I used to live in LA and my cleaning lady happened to be Elton's cleaning lady. When he signed with Philly he offered her to move with him and work full-time for him, and she jumped at the chance ... leaving me searching for a new cleaning lady. LOL. Payback please!

I just turned it on and it still hasn’t started! Geez
Yeah, since when did this "show" go from being 30 minutes to an hour? It was already bad enough to begin with, lol ;D. #NotEvenWatching #WillAwaitTheResultsOnTwitter ;D
-
The entire lotto show is such a joke... just read the results
-
how do you view the lottery? i cant find it.
The reveal is on ESPN.
The actual drawing is usually released on nba.com after, I believe.
-
The entire lotto show is such a joke... just read the results
the advertisers selling car insurance and soda don't think so
-
Something tells me this lottery show is going to cause the game to start at like 8:55 or around that...
-
how do you view the lottery? i cant find it.
ESPN
nope. it want me to log into my server, but my server is not listed. no joy for me.
-
Good Lord, can they draw this out any longer? Was it really necessary to have an hour long segment for this if the actual lottery only takes place in the final two minutes?
-
how do you view the lottery? i cant find it.
Either on ESPN, as others have already said, or via - http://www.espn.com/watch/player?id=3320258
-
This show was a lot better when it was done at halftime.
-

Jokes on the people who watch the whole thing and make it worth it to sponsors.

Fine choice, lol.
I have never seen a more "hurt my eyes" hair cut before

This show needs to be during a commercial break in the 1st quarter of one of the finals games.
it literally could be done in 2 min.
-
Good Lord, can they draw this out any longer? Was it really necessary to have an hour long segment for this if the actual lottery only takes place in the final two minutes?
Irrespective as to whether or not this was intentional, TP for the pun ;D.

Dang
-
Too bad.
-
Looking good so far! No, it’s Kings 2019. :(
-
Too bad.
Now let's just hope Cleveland doesn't move up!
-
Oh well.
-
Oh well it was a pipe dream anyway... time to start the Kings thread
-
That's that. But definitely got the heart pumping.
-
looks like we're not getting it, 76ers got it at #10
-
Well... that was riveting. On to the pregame show.
-
too bad. :(
well, game is about to start. celtics will win that one!!! ;D
-
Now we got to hope the cavs don't get top 3 and we're good to go
That's the consolation prize
-
well that was fun, for like 30 seconds.
Gotta hope the kings are very bad next year.
-
crap!
Please let the Cavs pick be 7-9
-
Oh well. Start the 2018-19 Sacramento Kings thread
-
well that was fun, for like 30 seconds.
Gotta hope the kings are very bad next year.
should be a top 10 pick
-
Oh well it was a pipe dream anyway... time to start the Kings thread
is the Kings pick unprotected?
-
I think we all can agree that this ish is rigged if Cleveland moves up yet again.
-
NOOOOOOOOO ;D.
-
2 things left to root for. Cavs and Kings not moving up.
-
Too bad.
Now let's just hope Cleveland doesn't move up!
Word!
-
Oh well, ON TO KINGS PICK 2019! 8)
-
Silver doesn’t have the brass to rig it for the Cavs, does he?
Haha.
-
I think we all can agree that this ish is rigged if Cleveland moves up yet again.
The Cavs winning the lottery three times in four years wasn't enough for you, lol?
-
Hope the kings and cavs don't move up
-
Now we got to hope the cavs don't get top 3 and we're good to go
That's the consolation prize
Am i the only one who doesn't care if the Cavs get a top 3 pick? 3 or 8 we may all ready be better than them and are for sure better moving forward.
-
Cavs stay at 8. We won the trade
-
Yeah boy! Bye Bron Bron!
-
Well Cleveland is not jumping, so that's good.
-
Ok Cavs 8. Whew
-
Hahahahahahja cavs get 8
-
Ha. Screw you Cleveland.
-
yessssss
-
Ugh, of course Sacramento moves up though.
-
Hawks owner is attractive
-
Kings jumped up? Bad news for next year's pick
-
Oh well it was a pipe dream anyway... time to start the Kings thread
is the Kings pick unprotected?
Only for the overall #1 overall pick. If that happens, we get two second rounders which would be horrible.
-
Griz move DOWN.
punished for tanking blatantly
-
Kings jumped up? Bad news for next year's pick
Thinking the same thing.
-
Kings jumped up? Bad news for next year's pick
Nah Kings blow it won’t matter for a year. Poor Grizz fans
-
Celtics got messed..THE LAKERS SHOULD HAVE SAT FOR THEIR PICK SINCE IT WAS NOT DECIDED WHO WOULD GET IT.
If the Lakers had sat for it ..it would have conveyed to CELTICS.
-
Top 3 picks all going out West
-
Kings jumped up? Bad news for next year's pick
Thinking the same thing.
Eh...they always find a way to suck. Not worried about it.
-
The way I see it now, only two things happen for Cleveland.
1. Lebron leaves them and they KEEP the pick (#8)
2. Cavaliers trade the pick + pieces to acquire another star to pair with Lebron (and Love?)
I don't think there's a scenario where they keep Lebron AND the pick. Don't think Bron Bron wants to bring in a young prospect when he wants to "win now". He'll want that pick traded for some star.
OR... if CLE wins it all, then maybe it doesn't matter lol
-
No matter who it is, they wont fix the kings problems
-
Poor Memphis.
-
oh my gawd another commercial
they are trying to kill us.
-

That's not true. We get the better of the Philly/Kings picks, unless the better pick is #1, in which case we get the worse pick

disaster for our kings pick

No, the idea is that they’ll be better next year and thus our pick will be worse.

I don't see the #8 pick plus any of the junk they have on the roster getting them a star.
-
No way PHX isn’t #1 here with Arizona Ayton there
-
Is there any protection on the Kings pick next year for us?
ok sorry, just answered right under this comment, never mind.
thanks
-

No we the the Phili first, likely in the twenties.
-
Hawks, Kings, and Suns.. Hmm...
Suns would benefit from the first pick. Ayton would be their missing piece. Hawks desperately need either Doncic or Bagley.
-
Cavs stay at 8. We won the trade
whew
it will be awesome if bamba goes 7th and cavs are like F#%$@#
lol
-
Pretty good outcome for us.
Cleveland didn't jump up.
Philly didn't get #1.
Memphis drops out of the top 3, which (very) slightly improves their chances of sucking for longer and therefore transferring their pick when it's unprotected.
The Kings getting into the top 3 probably doesn't hurt too much since they need a lot more than a single high-level rookie to become respectable next year. Tatums and Mitchells are relatively rare.

Who knows, maybe a team like Washington or Portland is desperate and they flip McCollum or Beal to CLE for the BKN Pick + Clarkson, Nance and a bad contract?
-
Is there any protection on the Kings pick next year for us?
The future first-round pick that Boston will receive will be the Los Angeles Lakers’ first-round pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, provided that such pick is No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, or No. 5 in the 2018 NBA Draft. If the Lakers’ 2018 first-round pick is No. 1 or is No. 6 or later, the Sixers will instead convey to the Celtics the rights to the more favorable of the Sixers’ own 2019 first-round pick or the Sacramento Kings’ 2019 first-round pick, provided that the more favorable pick is not the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. If the more favorable of the Sixers’ and Kings’ 2019 first-round picks is the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, the Sixers will instead convey the rights to the less favorable of those two picks.
If it ends up being the first pick, we lose it.
-

Seriously. Can you imagine trading a young star for something like the #8 pick, Hill, Hood, and Jordan Clarkson? That would suck :P
-
And for people who really think the lottery is rigged, why would the league want Atlanta or Sacramento picking in the top 3?
-
Hawks, Kings, and Suns.. Hmm...
Suns would benefit from the first pick. Ayton would be their missing piece. Hawks desperately need either Doncic or Bagley.
judging from their record, the suns are lacking way more that a "missing piece."

-
Doncic to the Kings. Probably won't move the needle bigtime in year one, right?
-
Phoenix has a hell of a collection of talent if they can ever get it all pointed in the right direction.
-
Is there any protection on the Kings pick next year for us?
Top 1 protected. If the pick goes to Philly, we end up with the Philly 2019 first instead.
-

who can they get for Love + #8? just curious
-
Hopefully Doncic / Ayton isn’t a game-changer in his rookie season.
-
So if the kings end up with Doncic, I guess they could indeed get better as soon as next year.
-
disaster for our kings pick
Wow, you guys are really overrating these players. No one in this draft is going to make the Kings a contender for the 8th seed in the West next year. No one. They're still going to be terrible.
-

I could see that happening. The writing is on the wall for both teams. The thing is Lillard, and Wall are premier point guards, and the more superior talent. You have to keep them over these two right? Use McCollm or Beal as grade A trade bait.
Harder to just blow it all up, because Lillard and Wall I think got special skill.
I think they are also the players who need great talent beside them.

Not overrating but when you add a two, you will be better then you add a 7...
-
That's going to be a pretty good core - Booker, Ayton, Jackson, Bender, Chriss, and Warren.
I think Bagley would look good in Sacramento, too.
-

Who said they'll make the playoffs now? The issue is that they'll be a bit better, which could mean a few extra wins and a few slots lower on the pick

Yeah. Another possibility is Kemba for the BKN Pick + pieces.
Maybe DeRozan/Lowry?
Certainly lots of options to be frank. But probably not enough for a Leonard or Davis

Tp to you too

So if the kings end up with Doncic, I guess they could indeed get better as soon as next year.
how often have the kings had a great draft position and how often has it moved the needle?
-
The real question is - would Memphis, Dallas, or Orlando be willing to deal with us if one of Jackson or Bamba falls to them?
-
I think this could be good, as the Kings will probably be all in on a youth movement instead of potentially trying to add journymen players to fill the roster and some seats. Their fans will now be fine with the patient approach.
-
So if the kings end up with Doncic, I guess they could indeed get better as soon as next year.
how often have the kings had a great draft position and how often has it moved the needle?
exactly
a lot of the West got better too so it’s not like the competition Isn’t getting better
The kings are perpetually bad
-
what is that hair style called?
smh
-

i seriously doubt we have any interest in bamba
The guy is Noel 2.0 lol. Although I do like him somewhat
-
I know it sucks that Sacto got 2, but I'm so glad the tanking teams all got burned. Phoenix and Atlanta were just bad, but Memphis and Dallas clearly tanked and I'm glad they didn't get rewarded.
-
Did #1 Fultz make the Sixers noticeably better?
Did #2 Ball make the Lakers noticeably better?
Did #4 Jackson make the Suns noticeably better?
Did #5 Fox make the Kings noticeably better?
Did #6 Isaac make the Magic noticeably better?
They're all probably a little better...but they all still suck and are still in this draft lottery we just watched...(minus the Sixers for reasons not related to Fultz).
The Kings will draft a good player...but doubtful it will have much of an impact on our draft status.

Kings got 2. I’ll take it. They probably take bagley who is good but not amazing. Since they have fox I doubt they take doncic
How do you figure after watching DA putting the celts together? Versatile wings are the now.

Not happy about SAC, but not too worried, either. They'll find a way to screw it up. I fully expect to hear something from Adam Silver along the lines of, "With the second pick in the 2018 NBA draft, the Sacramento Kings select...Darko Milicic, of the, wait, holy hell, what did they do?"
Also, Sacramento may get better with the #2 pick, but so will a few other teams. It's incremental. I'm assuming they go with Doncic, who's NBA-ready, but he's never played against NBA talent. Not saying he's not going to be a star, but it's going to take time.

Not psyched with SAC potentially getting the most NBA-ready prospect ever, but the pick should still be solid, regardless.
Just happy that PHI didn't get #1 and CLE didn't move up.
-
disaster for our kings pick
Wow, you guys are really overrating these players. No one in this draft is going to make the Kings a contender for the 8th seed in the West next year. No one. They're still going to be terrible.
Non playoffs, sure. But big difference between #3 and #9, which wouldn’t move the needle very much.
-
Kings are going to want Ayton
-
Imagine telling the greatest basketball franchise in the world you don't want them to draft you because of playing time, and then being happy about being on the worst team in the NBA and getting the #1 pick while your replacement breaks records in the ECF.

you mean most overhyped

Doncic to the Kings. Probably won't move the needle bigtime in year one, right?
No idea, but good for the Kings. That franshise has been a mess, but I've had a soft spot for them since they were robbed by the refs and Lakers. That was unbelievable.
Another factor may be how their salary situation plays out. If their two players with player options (Shumpert and Temple) opt in -- which I would think they will given neither would likely make more as FAs -- that doesn't leave room for a top FA and Sac will probably be best off clearing salary.
Hopefully, they'll be pretty bad for at least another year...

Watch doncic become darko.

“LeBron is gone.
Hopefully we have scouted well and can steal a Mitchell or Booker”
“I would be a whole lot less upset if the Kings and Bulls had got the picks they were supposed to get now we will have to sit here knowing forever 1 more loss by the Nets might have netted us that Kings pic”

Absolutely rigged. The NBA clearly wanted to give the top players to money-making meccas like Phoenix, Sacramento and Arizona. ::)

ESPN has Porter dropping to CLE at 8.
He could end up being the best player in the draft.
His game reminds me of Tatum's, only he is 6'10".
Don't write that pick off yet.

whatever team takes young or Bamba over porter is really bad at scouting. The back issues are worth risking cuz he’s that good

When Combines come no way he goes after 5 to Dallas. I see the Cavs going with Sexton.
