I can't ever root for the lakers to win but them beating the Knicks wouldn't be the worst thing.

Go Lakers! 🤮

I hear ya though

Lebron's out, so they are definitely trying!  :P

Do they play better without LeBron? Luka and Reaves combined for 60 points

Detroit is well on its way to losing its 4th game in a row.  Definitely a team leaking some oil.

Cavs, NYK, DET all lose. BOS wins.  Wow, what a day.

Marcus Smart was 1 for 10 shooting but +27. That is so Marcus Smart.

Marcus was flawed but loved.  There isn?t a player in our rotation that I?d trade for him at this point. If he wasn?t the playing for the Lakers id wish him well.

Honestly the Spurs core potential is insane.

Wembanyama (22)
Fox (28)
Castle (21)
Harper (20)
Vassell (25)
Bryant (20)

The Spurs also have a pick swap with the Hawks this season, a Hawks pick in 2027, a Celtics pick swap in 2028, Mavericks pick swap in 2030 and a Kings pick swap in 2031.

Thank god San Antonio and OKC are out West lol.

Idk if the East has a team or future like that. Boston might but they aren't loaded with draft capital like those teams either.

Yeah both teams are already loaded with talent and have enough picks to either get better immediately or lengthen their contending status by using the picks on youth.

Hugo reminds me a bit of Smart.  Has the bulldog mentality on D, not afraid to guard anyone, very good anticipation of where to be on the floor to make a good play.  Best part is that so far Hugo doesn't show that heat check mentality on offense

The window for the #1 seed has a tiny opening.

Interesting work by their GM on all those swaps.

That pick swap in '28 probably won't be anything. Maybe they move up 1 or 2 places. All the others look like total gold, with the possible exception of the Mavs. Kings? Probably gold.

For our swap, in 2027-28, we still have White, JB, Tatum, Hauser, Pritchard, Hugo, and Schierman under contract. We won't be blowing anything up before then unless some awful injury crisis hits.

Sounds like Nikola Jokic wants to stay in Denver; says he doesn't feel the urge or need to play elsewhere. Mainly his family and kids are settled in Denver.

Jokic is happy he won't be able to catch up to the French superstar's prime, who can completely own basketball in the next couple of seasons out of his growing dominance. He is changing basketball. He's a rim protector, he's shooting threes. He is unique. I'm glad that I'll probably retire before Wemby holds the entire league in a chokehold," Jokic bluntly said in his appearance on X&O?s Chat, a Serbian basketball podcast hosted by Edin Avdic.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I imagine Bird felt the same way when he saw a young Michael Jordan and thought what he would become when he reached his prime.

Ty Jerome had a rough go in the playoffs but in his limited minutes for the Grizzlies he's continuing to put up insane per minute numbers. 19/5/3 in just under 22 mpg on 64TS%
