Wow. Pretty shocking. He was relatively young and always looked healthy. Definitely a musical legend, huge loss for the music world.

2016 is not screwing around.  Bowie's death was a lot more meaningful to me but Prince was a giant as well.  And would cross you up in a velour suit then serve you pancakes to boot.

I can't at this point.  Ugh.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Unreal.

Speaking of unreal... the life and work of Prince has been shrouded in legend and mystery for like 20 years. It's going to be extremely interesting to see what surfaces in his death. I'm trying to remember where I heard, but there are rumors that he's recorded hundreds or even thousands of songs that he never distributed.

Really makes you realize you own mortality.  As a 48 year old, it seems like the last 2-3 years there have been so many deaths of people that were in their prime in my youth.  Pearl Washington yesterday, Prince today.  RIP Prince.

He was incredibly prolific.  I remember at one point he was bristling at his record company because they wouldn't let him release more music, it was capped at like one album a year.

It helps to think that somewhere he and Bowie are jamming

I know this is a basketball forum, so I hope this gets no negative feedback but the world lost a musical icon today. Prince was a musical genius and to me is right up there with Michael Jackson in legendary status.

RIP Purple one...

If you told me Purple Rain was the best album ever recorded I wouldn't argue with you.

Probably the greatest living guitar player and along with Stevie Wonder probably the greatest living overall musician.

RIP

Say hello to the home planet

I feel worse for Chyna. She even got upstaged in death. Like 3 hours of death fame before an A lister was like "No more attention for you."

This is so cold.A C lister is a C lister even in death.

I hope that Chyna will tickle Prince´s earlobe with that giant hormone XXXX in heaven and they both like it. Have fun both of y´all.
