I know...just the 4th preseason game but after the egg they laid last week its nice to see THIS start versus THIS team.

Agreed.
Well, we saw Dowling, now I wanna see Vereen.

Sweet pass and ensuing run by Slater ... interesting call.

Slater is looking good.
He messed up an offensive play earlier, but overall, he's solid.

I'm much more concerned, (as always), with defense than offense at this point. There's a bit too much fluidity there at present.

Did Patrick Chung just get banged up?
I hope not.  Get him off the field -- we are thin already at safety.

BTW, with Slater playing the way he's playing, there's no question Tate is going to be cut, IMHO.

I also think Guyton has looked good out there.  Very heads up plays (that one penalty against him was BS).

There's a good chance ... Tate hasn't exactly done a heckuva lot with his opportunities to this point, Slater has. Also agree with taking Chung out permanently from this one ... no need to risk it.

Don't forget what a great tackler that Slater is on the special teams. I think he led the team in special team tackles last year.

Wow ... Haynesworth has def put on weight, not much of it muscular, apparently. Going the Wilfork route, as long as he remains effective. Nice defense here.

Yes, Slater has been a big special teams contributer.  I don't think there was ever a question of him making the roster.  But if he can provide additional depth at WR, then there is no need for Tate at this point.

LOL. Lots of plays for the G-Men in three straight drives. Lots of time of possession. lots of yards. 1 fumble, two missed FGs, 0 points.
