Trade Idea and question regarding trade exception

Could someone help me out? If you look a possible trade I came up with, you'll see the Celts would get a trade exception from Denver. Instead of that trade exception coming to the Celtics, could Denver instead keep it and agree to sign and trade Nene to the Celtics for 6.2 mil?

Absolutely not, there is no way Nene would sign for that amount.

But in theory, could that be possible? Let's just say Nene did agree to sign for that amount, could this be worked out?

I've never really understood the way trade exceptions work.
