Was watching this kid play for the Heat last night. Granted, just an exhibition game, but, man, he has swag. Beautiful 3 point shot. His defense needs work, but if he gets minutes, should make first team all rookie.  Kid is going to be a player.

Rumors were that Ainge slammed the table when Heat grabbed him one pick before we selected at 14. Starting to understand why.

He was really fun to watch in Summer League.  Much better athlete and ball handler than I originally thought.  If anything, the hype around his shot does a disservice to his overall skillset on offense.  I completely understand why Danny was frustrated about losing out on Herro.

He looks legit so far, could be a ROY candidate, he will get minutes on this Heat team.

It sucks that we missed out on him, but would he see the floor much on this Celtics roster? We have Hayward, Tatum, Brown and Smart all ahead of him. I guess if he continued to show he's for real, it would have made Ainge comfortable to trade Hayward or Brown for a big man.

Probably like another Evan Fournier... which is pretty good

Don't forget we have ourselves our own 3 pt sniper rookie.  Carsen Edwards

I would've drafted Alexander-Walker, Doumbouya, or Bitazde.

Just seems like Langford was a reach at 14. At first, I was fairly excited about the pick but didn't realize he had thumb surgery and has suffered other injuries along the way.

At this point, I'm not even sure how much playing time he'll see this season, if at all.

But time will tell. He could also end up being a steal.

It does seem there's more excitement however surrounding Grant Williams, Carsen Edwards and Tacko and there is with the guy we drafted with our first pick.

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
He looked pretty good in the tourney but not like a really good NBA athlete - if he's got that he could be special.

Yup. Another Garbage. Head scratching pick by Danny. Sekou will take some time but that's my Guy.

Alexander Walker if you had to go guard.

I imagine it must be pretty frustrating for Ainge that it's Riley yet again taking Danny's guy one spot before us this time.

So far it hasn't worked out so well for Riley but I do like Herro...

That was in the first 5 minutes of the game. Impressive

This kid is legit. If Ainge had drafted him. C's fans would be going nuts right now.

I don't mean to be rude, but are we gonna make a thread every time a non-celtics rookie has a good game? C'mon now lol.

Or at least merge into the thread I started on Herro a few days ago.
