BTW, what an embarrassing second half effort given by the Celtics for the city of Boston.  ::) ::)

Of course, I still say that the bombings were going to have zero effect on the Celtics play and so far, that's true.

Give that a rest..if they knew how to take care of the ball they'd win the game point blank.

Really frustrating loss. Usually I would feel OK and think "we've got the next one" but I think we lost our best opportunity to take a big advantage in the series.

I think Melo will still have bad games after this one but I just don't see us scoring enough points every time, and with ease. KG and Pierce can't do it during the whole game, Green neither (he had an OK second half but we just need him to be the first half Green at all times), Terry is pure garbage. And the most worrying sign to me is that our other players looked simply terrified to shoot. I'm thinking of Bass and Lee in particular. Bradley was OK but he is not a shooter.

Huge mistake from Kevin, which costed us the game right there :'(!
Really? I saw a team that was hoping KG or Pierce would save them. Which describes the 12-13 Boston Celtics perfectly.
I just meant that he made a huge mistake by doubling Melo and not noticing K-Mart standing without anybody guarding him ;D
Hope we bounce back in game 2, this is not gonna cut it!

After taking a seven point lead, we finished the game on a 22-8 run.

Need to close games better.

Not worried.  The better team wins a series.

So...are you going to keep defending the self-proclaimed "JET"?

Huge opportunity missed - not sure we will get such a great chance.
Thought both Chandler and KG didn't look fit.  C's looked much like they have for so many play off losses during KG's time (giving up offensive rebounds / PP iso / poor shooting).
Bench was horrible and when PP, JG and AB went cold there was just nothing there in the second half.
Worrying.

15 shot attempts for J.Green
15 shot attempts for Pierce
14 shot attempts for Bradley
12 shot attempts for Garnett

2 shot attempts for Bass in 33 minutes. Bass should never take so few shot attempts. His scoring his main value on the court. Needs to be more aggressive on offense.

Even though Doc feels Green deserves to start, right now , i would bring him back from the bench. And instead start Lee with Bradley

Our bench is hurting large. No depth

Celtics are in a dire need of a big that can also score in the post/pass from the post. That would open up so much more in the perimeter

They are in dire need of dribble penetration.

They are in dire need of Rondo.

I agree but he didn't look like he wanted the ball. Seemed scared to me.

One of the problems was also our bench >:(
The NYK Bench outscored us 25 to 4! Doc just got to learn that his regular 8-man playoff rotation just isnt going to cut it! #FreeTWill

Since when were series one game long?

He had a bad game; doesn't mean he won't step up later.

So...are you going to keep defending the scrub that is Terrence Williams?

Season ending injuries to Rondo and Sully will cost us the series. Plus an abysmal Jason Terry, who is as toast as someone can be (the dunk attempt got me speechless, missing wide open jump shots has become a regularity)

Kenyon Martin was terrific for New York.

A real difference maker for the Knicks off the bench. Strong defensively. Protected the paint. 10 points and 9 rebounds in 28 minutes. A near double double. 2 blocks.
