ESPN:

Golden State has perpetually given up open perimeter looks throughout the playoffs, as their 130 wide-open 3-pointers allowed are the third-most in any postseason since 2014, per Second Spectrum's tracking data, and the most by a significant margin in these playoffs.

Don't cover, or can't cover?

Reminds me of Milwaukee. Without the impossible wall to score inside against. C’s need to keep making threes to beat the Dubs

Let's GO Celts. Another road win will be special. Plus we will get to hear how Draymond says that they dominated in another loss. Celts you are a much better team. Play the tough D from the start and put them away.

TP FLCeltsFan for a great gamethread as always!

Very excited to see how this game goes. Like Derrick White said, the Celtics should be greedy and get this one as well. I fully expect to get Golden State's best punch but there is also a lot of room for improvement for the Celtics (on the boards as well as Tatum's shooting, especially since he generally bounces back from a poor shooting performance). I don't know if it's the fact that the team is in the Finals and has got over the ECF hump or simply the matchup with Golden State but I just feel more confident in the Celtics' mindset and focus from one game to another after the inconsistency of the previous two rounds.

That's why this game will be so crucial : we'll see if we're either in for a potentially surprising short series, if the Celtics come out really focused and keep making their shots, or if we're in for a tough, "you win, I win" series much like the previous two rounds.

I’m just a tad bit worried of the media and virtually everyone’s overreacting to us stealing 1 game.

The Warriors are a scary good team that could easily sweep 4 straight from here if:

1) Tatum doesn’t come alive.
2) Smart reverts back to hero ball and being our leading shot taker.
3) Our bigs get into foul trouble is hitch spells more minutes for Theis.
4) Jaylen goes back to his poor ball handling.

Do I think we are strongly matched up against Ws? Yes. Do I think they could flip the switch at any given moment? Emphatically yes.

WOW Brothers AND Zarba?? Yeesh. Prepare for 50+ fouls tonight and for the complete opposite of Game 1 lol. Wouldn't be surprised if this is the new injury report before the game:

Daniel Theis (OUT - 6 Fouls)

Yeah, in the Finals, the NBA consolidates their 'best' and can throw some vicious tag teams out there.

I hope we learned from the last few series that we have to come out each game like its a game 7. Our guys always say the right thing but then consistently come out flat when ahead in a series.

Overreacting? Half the media thinks we were lucky.

The Warriors defense is fatally flawed. Not enough size, and too many slow legs.

We just need to be patient on offense and play with energy and poise. If we keep up the defensive intensity good things are going to happen.

Just don't take the foot off the gas pedal. Know we're better and make the right plays and good shots will be available most possessions. Keep up that pressure and the lead will grow. Don't get rattled by momentum swings.

Agree about the hero ball. We need Smart (and everyone) to be like he was on that last play in game 1 against Brooklyn. Don't settle. Work the defense and we can get great matchups that lead to layups.

I want to see Smart and White piercing that perimeter and finding the right guys.

Every time Tatum has had a poor shooting night, he's bounced back the next game. I expect the same tonight. And we'll definitely need if it we want to win tonight. Highly doubt Horford, Smart and White will all be Ray Allen/Steph Curry from 3 again lol

Klay Thompson will have a bounce, as well. They’ll come out strong, so our D needs to be ready.
