As much as I hate Kobe in every way a person can hate an NBA player, gotta admit that that is a very intelligently put together team in Orlando. fwf is surrounding kobe with players that would seemingly work fabulously with Kobe.

And by that you mean players that don't need the ball so he can take all the shots? Their touches will come from crashing the offensive glass to scoop up Kobe's misses...

Millsap and Asik are an interesting fit...I wish Millsap had a better mid-range jumper to really make this front court work

I like the Lawson pick by AB and the Pekovic pick by WW. Nice fits for both teams.

WW?!?

All the times I've defended you Rebus?

"He's like a rich mans Lucky" or "At least he can read, unlike Champkind" I'd say -- only to have you mistake me for THE walker wiggle?!?

Oh well I still think you have a better healthcare system.

Many apologies, GC. Excellent pick.

Oh and your team with Lebron was robbed.

Ah, my mistake. It's now clear that someone (perhaps THE wiggle himself?) hacked into CB and was posting as Rebus.

The real Rankin -- erudite, smart, molson -- is back at his keyboard.

Just think it's a little soon.

Most teams only have 2 players so far...

Seriously though, Batum was the biggest reason I was trying to get into the 3rd. This guy is the most underrated player in the league, and he's easily a top 5 SF in my eyes. I mean, the kid is [REDACTED] with a smoother offensive game. He's already recorded the first 5x5 since [REDACTED]. And he's just 24?! There are guys in the 2nd I would take Batum over.

Worthy third round pick, but we've now seen GMs singing the praises of Aldridge, Lillard AND Batum. So why were the Trailblazers a lottery team?
Worst bench in the league last year. Would've been .500 with a capable bench.

So it's all Joel Freeland's fault, huh? Jerks.

To do better than .500, their starters would've had to do more:

(1) Their non-Aldridge starting big man (unnamed since yet to be selected) was one of the weaker starting bigs in the league. This was the biggest area for improvement.
(2) Their two backcourt players were both middle of the pack starters. Lillard should take a nice step forward next season as he betters his defense (poor) and continues to improve his floor general skills (work in progress). The other unnamed (unselected guy) guard is what he is (stagnant).
(3) Batum a bit above par (amongst starting SFs).
(4) Aldridge only high level starter

But their starters had enough to be .500 with a good bench ... instead they were anchored by having one of the worst reserve units in the league. So I blame the bench. I'd estimate their bench cost them 7-10 wins.

Not sure of the advanced stats but just by watching the two play, their defense seems at least very close.

Synergy ranks: Beal (226), Thompson (72)

Yikes

What I meant was that he didn't post this in the official trading block. Thanks for the cheap shot though.  ;D

Let's nip this in the bud before it goes any farther. I don't want to see comments like these. ron's comment was rather innocuous.
