This is such a great question, that I created - thankyou, please write in better answers!!! I can't remember much from when I was a kid from the 80s/90s, so relying on older guys to come up with some hum dingers.

Note that we should exclude serious injury guys (e.g Brandon Roy, Oden, maybe even Arenas), and players who slowly became less relevant (e.g Udonis Haslem).

I want big ass drops of the cliff.

Carmelo does not yet qualify, because he may bust out, who knows?

Dwight Howard (like Bynum) sort of epitomizes the obsolete center that never adjusted to the new NBA, and fell off the map. And considering he led a team to the Finals I suppose that’s a big drop off.

Chandler Parsons also comes to mind.

Of the listed options, I voted for Deron Williams.

Rashard Lewis. You wouldn't think ball players would be affected much by steroids, but after he got busted for it in 2009, he fell out of his prime at 30.

The 2010 ECF was like the exact moment he couldn't do it anymore. When you're a well-repped sharpshooter and you can't hit the broad side of a barn, you're done. Plain and simple. He never got it back.

Yeah, pretty much all late 00's bigs fall into this category.

TP for Parsons (injuries notwithstanding), forgot about his 94 million dollar 5 year deal in 2014. Given cap spikes that truly stands out as a stinker. Hard to believe that only 6 months ago that contract was off NBA books...

Okafor does not belong on this list. He was never good.5)343 are tons of guys that put up good numbers on bad teams and fell out of the league. I actually won’t forget I said that okafor’s rookie stats would be the best he ever put up in his career on this forum and I was really aggressively insult (amongst the worst I have ever been in my 14 years here). Kind of surprised nothing more came of that one to think of it.

Of your options I think Williams was injured. Vin baker was a good one

I went with Deron. Bynum was major but that was mostly due to health.

Yuh, and speaking of that era.. Larry Johnson was pretty awful in New York at the age of only 27.

Sullinger's cliff was not that high for him to fall off of, meaning folks valued him here more than elsewhere.  He could not shoot, had constant injury and conditioning problems related to his inability to control his weight.  He never made it up to the cliff, his fall was off a mole hill level.   At the end of the day, he was  stop gap measure for us.

Anthony bennett

I mean at worst people thought he would be a rotation player off the bench as a number one pick. Number 1 picks don't leave the league after a year

OK, that WAS an honorary selection, but I agree with you.

Who is the greatest Celtic cliff-jumper in history then? Maybe Xavier McDaniel?

Amir Johnson? He was good his first year, then unplayable the next.

What's funny is that Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder have both seen some cliff drops since leaving Boston. I'd include Isaiah Thomas, but his issues are not his fault.
