glad he got that extra several million. poor guy probably really needs it. hope he doesn't have to stress about putting food on the table anymore.  $%^&*!!

Eh.  If the money was close, he probably would be here still.

The money wasn't close.

This one hurts. But I can’t fault Al for taking that bag from Philly. So what’s the next move now?

That is alot of money to commit to a 34 year old who will be 38 when the contract ends.

I think this is Hofford expressing his displeasure with the trading of his friend Isiah.

....payback!!!

could be something like this...though we may never know.

I love al, and really really wanted him back. But it seems pretty unlikely he will make even one all star game over the next 4 years. 109 million for that is rough

Enormous reach. It's Horford taking a huge deal as an old man (by NBA standards).

We’ll see how healthy/durable Horford and Embiid will be.

Man this one hurts, I really loved Al. He was our last hope of having a strong big man to start the season. Even though it was reported he was gone I was still holding out hope.

I was at least hoping we could sign and trade Horford to add a big, that we weren't at least able to do that is really disappointing.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Does this take the $9.8 mm exception out of play? Or can we structure with Nets in 3 way?

Man I wish Draymond was available. He’d be perfect for us.

It's still doable.

Ugh.  This one hurts.  Philly looks like a beast for 2 years.  Indy looks good and the bucks still have giannis.  Anywhere but Philly Al.  Cant believe they gave him that much money.  So right now cs 4th or 5th.  Need a big.  I wish there was some way to get Adam's or favors.  Only way it can off set the loss of Al.

Except can you think of two teams in the entire NBA who are less likely to help us out in a s&t than BKN and PHI? I know we only need one, but, geez.

I was a big fan of Al, but honestly, I can't imagine many of us would be happy paying him over $27M/yr over the next four years. It isn't crippling but, it is essentially a continuation of his current salary, but considerably older.

Let's see what Danny has in store next. Sad to lose Al, but we should all be pretty psyched about Kemba!
