We've heard the rumors, the reporting, and there's been a lot of good discussion about it so far.

So here's a simple poll. Would you do it if there's truly mutual interest from both parties?

Keep in mind we have about 34.8M in cap space assuming everyone's renounced (Irving, Horford, Rozier, etc.), or 34.1M if we keep Ojeyele around (and I definitely would). Could open up more by salary dumping Yabusele somehow.

My answer? No. If you want to know why, just check out my explanation that I posted on the "Summer Official Rumors Thread".

Only if it resulted in a hayward sign and trade for him.

Or if for some ramdom reason i had a trade linedup for a good-greay center for non core pieces (smart, brown, tatum)

I am perfectly ok starting smart next season and having edwards and waters back him up. Honestly.

No. People are aware that Giannis, Embiid, etc. still exist in the East right? Losing Horford hurts us since he defended them fairly well and now the front court is extremely thin with Baynes traded too.

We need some cap space to sign centers. Will barely have any left if we sign Kemba.

If we were keeping Horford, I'd be a fan. But Walker on this team doesn't make sense to me, even though he's a very good player.

The irony of some Celtic fans liking Kemba?

He is the poor-man's Kyrie; meaning he has all his flaws, but much worst.

This isn’t true at all.

Kemba is a half-step below Kyrie on the court, but off the court Kemba is much more stable. He’s not a passive aggressive flake.

Not to mention Kemba has a better shot profile than Kyrie, he attempts more 3's, draws more free throws and takes less long 2's.

He's not as good as Kyrie, but he might be able to produce similar numbers with improved teammates in Boston.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think it's hard to compare the two.
Similar numbers IMO - Kemba's obviously being slightly worse but also had to carry the load on a terrible team for his entire career. Kyrie has been surrounded by arguably the best player of all time and a solid supporting cast in Boston.. at least solid enough where he couldn't be the sole focus to opposing defenses.

I think with help Kemba's numbers look much better.. and as others mentioned he doesnt appear to be a headcase. If we are going for character guys I think Kemba fits the mold. I think the less you hear about a player in that regard the better they are in the locker room.

This. If there’s anything that we learned from last year it’s that this should be a priority for us moving forward, which seems to be the case after the draft.

You can't give up your cap space for a PG and have no PF and C!! The team would be way better off just absorbing Adams contract and resigning Rozier and I guess you bring back Morris at that point also if we can. Not sure how the cap rules work in that scenario.

Yes, as long as there’s a plan to solidify the frontcourt in addition to signing him.

I say yes, but that's under the assumption that Ainge has an alternative plan to address the front court.

The 3PA is one of the biggest benefits to Kemba over Kyrie. The main issue is that he gives up a lot of size to Kyrie but he make up for that with his speed and strength.

Kemba on the Celtics would be like everything great about the IT era with the the long term high ceiling that Kyrie brought to the table. Kemba's been All Star level for about 3 years now, he deserves every cent of his next contract.

Sign Horford and Walker, if possible.

I don't think they can clear enough cap space for Kemba if Horford stays.
