Reading different reports it appears this is going to be an interesting draft.

Granted a lot of "sources say" draft reporting can just be smoke screens put out by teams and agents but to date I have read

Atl really like Trae Young and also linked to Bagely

Kings really like MPJ

Kings and Atl not super high on Doncic

Suns leaning towards Ayton.

If most of this is true the Draft could actually play out very differnent then many experts originally predicted.

Could very well be

1. Suns: Ayton

2. Kings: Porter ( this does make alot of sense for an owner who has stated in the past he wants to emulate the Warriors)

3. Atlanta: Young ( seems like a reach but enough teams are rumored to be high on him that they may not be safe to trade down, this makes a Dennis Schroeder draft draft day trade very likely)

4. Memphis: Doncic (hard to think of a better fit for Doncic, a healthy Gasol and Conley would give then a foundation to compete for the playoffs

5-7. Dallas, Orlando, and Bulls: I would then suspect that Bagley, Bamba, and Jackson go at these picks with the Magic sticking to their MO of drafting Length (Bamba or Jackson).

I do not think Trae Young goes top 3 or even top 5 personally.

I'm pretty high on Jackson but I could see MPJ going second or third. Ayton/Doncic should be 1/2 in some order.

Letting Doncic fall to #4 would be a draft blunder by PHX, SAC, & ATL, imo.

Yeah I can see him going to three as Ayton and MPJ could also be great. But I would take him number one myself.

My dream was the C's moving to #2 and getting him, I truly think he's going to be special.

I'm not sure about bust. I'm thinking he is more similar to Danilo Gallinari, but will recant from the highest mountain loudly when Doncic makes 1st Team All NBA.

I'm not so sure about next year's draft, but I'm happy that the Celtics aren't looking at one of these guys to save a franchise. I think a lot of these teams will be disappointed that they got a borderline all star vs a game changer.

If you're looking for a team to commit a draft blunder, those would be some likely suspects.

If Jaren Jackson really falls into the 5-7 range, does the price get low enough for the Cs to try grabbing him?  Rozier, Sac '19, Celtics '18?

What does Rozier + Kings pick + Grizz pick net us?  Is that too much to give up for 4 if he falls?

He has highest floor written all over him. MPJ also has a nice floor..

Danilo was the rising star of the Euroleague at 19, Doncic was the MVP and best player on the team that won the title. I have higher expectations of Doncic.

Though I'll also say if Danilo doesn't f' up his knee and then get a risky experimental procedure that messes it up more I think he'd have had a much better career. The athleticism he lost losing basically two seasons to that knee and subsequent screw up was massive.

I don't know about MPJ floor being that high.

I worry he will end up a Rudy Gay type who just scores inefficiently without doing much else for his team. His weaknesses as a ball handler and passer that I read about worry me as does the back.

But I haven't seen him play other than two games in college so I'm not an expert on him or his potential by any means.

If Jackson falls to 7 that might be worth trying to move up for.

Yeah I agree he'd be a really great fit.

I really have no handle on how the C's value the Kings pick. Are they going to treat it like the 5th - 9th pick like they said they did the BKN pick this year? Or do they think it's more valuable than that.

Because if you think it will be a mid lottery pick in all odds it would make some sense to package it and grab a player you love in this draft if he falls.

Yeah, people seem to forget that Danilo was on his way to becoming an awesome 3/4. If he stayed healthy he’d probably be the ideal 4 in todays NBA.

Those last 2 years with Denver where he averaged roughly 19/5 on 43/37/88 splits were good fun.

I reckon Doncic could be anything though. In terms of offensive versatlity and competence, I can’t think of any prospects that rival him. His shooting, passing and movement are all amazing. He’s also much better defensively than people think, and is a legit 230lbs. Wish we had a shot at him
