Not gonna lose many games when you shoot 23-43 from 3PT land for 53.5% shooting.

C Martin = 5-6 3PTA
Jovic = 3-4 3PTA
Herro = 6-11 3PTA
Jaquez = 3-6 3PTA
Highsmith = 3-5 3PTA

D Robinson = 2-7 3PTA
D Wright = 1-3 3PTA
Bam = 0-1 3PTA

If.you don't contest the 3, this will happen again. Idc how bad an NBA team is, they are at the top level for a reason.

Last year they did the same thing because we played poor defense on the 3.

Joe is doing the exact same thing expecting  different result.

If we win a title with this clown, it will be one of the biggest upsets in NBA history that won't be noticed.
Still don't believe in Joe.

Lowkey the Celtics currently have Bruins 2022-2023 written all over them so far. Overachieving in the regular season and then looking overrated in the postseason.

Already seeing a lot of memes with the "fraudulent" #1 seed in the East, and it's "the Knicks' conference to lose" and all that chatter.

If losing to the heat forces an upgrade to the coaching, it might be a blessing in disguise.  I want us to win it all, but if we fall short, I'd rather see a meltdown that forces a positive change.

My biggest concern is Boston plays so poorly at home in the playoffs. It’s just crazy.

Also in 2008, the Atlanta Hawks an eight seed pulled the highly respected and favored Celtics into a seven game series. In the end that seven game series as well as the one with Cleveland served that Boston team well.

Don’t give up the ship. Game three will tell a lot about this team.

lol not a single poster should be jumping ship in a 1-1 series. The hand slitting on this board if the Celtics lose any playoff game is pretty unbearable.

Not saying the loss was not bad. But the idea the Celtics can’t beat this heat team now because of last nights loss is pretty ridiculous

We lost to a an 8th seed down 2 of its top 3 players at home.

We lost in the same fashion as last year.

To recap, we lost to a bad team at home yet we should be ok because for some.reason....

Title teams don't struggle again teams like the heat.  Denver came back from 20 down against a clown LA team.

We have talent to  win it all, but Joe will hold them back.

We saw the same thing before against this exact same team last year. Wrist slitting is warranted here. I understand losing Game 4 if you're up 3-0 but not at your home floor being 1-1 when the opposing team was down two of their 3 best players

It's not.

It is 1-1 against a lousy team that has no hope of beating us in a series. They won a game. Good for them. They have no chance in this series. Not without Jimmy.

Bad night. Move on to the next game.

Congrats on the heat “not being able to win this series”…even if you’re right it’s about the bigger picture. This loss shows me they aren’t winning the title, just not happening

Miami owns us for some reason & won without Butler, Rozier & Richardson at our home court but they hit 23 3s so got to stop that on defense & tired of Tatum always complaining if he don’t get a foul call
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Horrible loss. Embarrassed at home. But I think the Celtics can recover from this. We’ll see.  They should be favored in both games in MIA. Play like a title contender. It will be tough to get this loss out of their heads but that is what they need to do.

Heat shot a stupid percentage from three.  Adebayo was the man last night.  I wish I didn’t hate the Heat so much.  Love the way he plays.

Porzingis, Pritchard and to some degree Holliday all turtles but time last night.  Miami had them trudging through mud.

Still, if Miami shoots a normal percentage from 3, the Celts win that game.

Celts will adjust and take it on 5.  Still hard to watch.
Yup

Tatum committed 3 fouls.  All of them were frustration fouls.

  • MASTER OF PANIC
Saying Boston has no chance to win the title now just because they won't sweep the Heat is a bit of an overreaction. They were never going to beat the Heat in 4. Spo is too good of a coach. He and his team thrive in this role. He say around for 2 days hearing how Boston was going to sweep his team and he used that.

Now Boston gets to sit around for 2 days and stew on that game as they hear how overrated they are from the national media.

Last night was disappointing for sure but it is one game where miami made 24 3s. I want to see how they perform in games 3 and 4 before writing them off. I think they get at least one but probably 2 games there.

If they come home down 3-1 or tied for game 5 then that will be panic time. Who knows...this just might go 7 games and it might be what they need. They have not been tested this year so now we will see what they are made of. It should not but this group seems to try to do things the hard way.
