What would be the point of playing a guy who won't see the court in the playoffs?

So that a player who will play in the playoffs doesn't get injured.

There's one game left.  I'd rather use it to prep than to rest.  Our main guys have had enough rest.

But that's just me.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Good idea but he's having problems just guarding the better big men in the D league. Unless we play zone defense and have him roaming and protecting the rim it's too late this season.
They'll probably give him a shot next season.

And Krook, they aren't hating on you, you just have a style of a topic heading that is recognizable. Keep posting, I like your discussions and you are a passionate Celtics fan like me.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

and fab melo is not really a bad player,
you will never know until you try him for bigger minutes..
i don't compare d-league to nba

So people who do not dominate the D league come in and dominate the NBA, that is news to me, thanks for the tip.

Even though the game got cancelled, I'm on board for this. Gotta get him playing time and experience with the big team. Might as well do it during games that don't matter when stars will likely be rested. I think Fab can get better. He has to get better. Nowhere to go but up.
