Would be a huge matchup. Durant vs Lebron. Curry vs AD

Who do you think would win?

Golden State.  I think the lack of a third scoring option would hurt the Lakers.

Caruso? Lol

In all seriousness.

Lakers do have more depth. Dwight could be a problem for gsw

Warriors had Curry/Thompson/Durant/Green that year huh. And a decent bench.

Warriors in a landslide.

GS easily. This Lakers team has serious flaws outside of AD and LeBron. The 2018 Cavs team was much, much better.

You can’t put Howard on the floor for a single minute against the 2018 GS team.

If you saying this due to 3s

I mean Robinson and Herro are also very good 3 pt shooters. Lakers are doing a good job on them

Of course GSW would be different. But Lakers do have some strong perimeter defenders

Except for the Lebron-factor, I think GSW would be heavy favorites.

There is nobody in LA to deal with Klay or Curry. KD and Iguodala were great at slowing down Lebron. KD would be a nightmare for the Laker's defense. What line up would they play when KD is the taller player in court (like in a Curry, Klay, Iguo, Dray, KD lineup)? Heck, Lebron would probably spend the whole game following KD. Not sure he can do that at this stage.

The 3s yes but more so because of Durant.

It’s a combo of the 3 shooters but Durant is the bigger problem.

Amazing that you posted this - I was thinking about this exact question earlier today.

I suppose it came to mind because it appears that Danny and Brad are determined to build around the Golden State model - problem being we have good shooters, but not great. Plus we turn the ball over too much, do not run good offense and end up taking lots of bad shots. Bad shots taken by only good shooters = low shooting % = playoff losses. Badly run offense and lots of unforced turnovers means your team is not well coached.

The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

If Warriors are healthy then they would simply destroy this Lakers squad. LeBron always runs from KD, so who would defend him? Danny Green?

Klay Thompson is like a 400% version of KCP, Curry is the best PG in the competition, and Draymond was much better back then. They also had heaps of bodies to throw at Dwight and Javale, including Javale, David West, Zaza, Jordan Bell and Kevon Looney.

GSW would plain and simple crush them
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Goes 7 and anything can happen then.

Anthony Davis is no joke and the best player/match lebron has ever played with and no one on the warriors is stopping him..and I love playoff Rondo

Good point

I think unless Tatum and Brown have another gear behind their back pockets. Celts are establishing Thompson, Iggy, Green etc. part of the team..
