Doc said he was going to try to help Delonte West.  I really hope he follows through.

He deserved to be fired after at least his thrid total collapse in the playoffs. Harrell shouldn't have played at all against the Lakers. Playing the wrong guys and not getting your team to play hard is 100% on the coach. Brad not playing Grant Williams was on Brad too but The Celtics made it farther than the Clippers with much younger stars. The Clippers now have a one year window.

Players not playing hard is 99.9% on the players.

Per Woj, the Clips are looking at Lue and JVG.

You can't fire the players and benching guys that aren't playing well is a main weapon of coaching.

JVG to Clippers, Doc back to ABC/ESPN?  I'd take that.  Doc was good on TV back in the day.

I mean, it makes sense Doc would decide he didn't want to stay there.  I don't know how he didn't choke Paul George the first day he saw him.

That would actually be perfect. Just need the Warriors to hire Mark Jackson back, returning Steve Kerr to broadcasting, and boom!

Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Most overrated coach in the NBA- could only win (and hardly) with veteran superstars.
People forget how bad the Celtics were with doc before we got the big 3

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....

There's no such thing as a motivated Benoit Benjamin though.

LOL Doc Rivers the overrated coach finally got canned.

Too bad he left the Celtics back then because he didn't want to be part of a rebuilding phase.

We would've won it AGAIN in 08-09 until KG's fateful visit to Utah that year.

I don't think Doc gets enough credit for keeping that 2008-09 group together. We lost KG for half of it (including the postseason) and played without Leon Powe for almost the entirety of the playoffs, yet we barely missed out on the #1 seed while almost reaching the Conference Finals with a washed up Marbury and absolutely useless Mikki Moore.

In fairness, I do think Danny coasted that year, though.

We could've beaten Orlando without KG and Powe had we won Game 1, Game 6 or Game 7 but...would've been smoked by LeBron in the ECF. And we could've had a Kobe vs LeBron NBA Finals that year.

Wow.
